Is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She spent 10 years working in the mutual fund industry, in both Boston and Providence, as a Registered Representative and then a Quality Assurance Specialist. After starting a family she spent 10 years working for the South Kingstown Public School Department as a Teaching Assistant and Secretary. In October of 2016, after working for a year at the Lawn Avenue School in Jamestown, Laurel joined Rizzo Financial Group LLC. Oddly enough, even though a New Englander, Laurel is a die hard Minnesota Vikings fan.
