Our team of advisors offers a combination of retirement and pension-focused knowledge with deep planning experience. Retirement planning services are specifically designed to help you gain the clarity, confidence and structure you need to get to….and through retirement.
We meet you where you are in your life nearing retirement, recovering from a loss of a spouse or accumulating savings for the future.
In 1999, my Mother retired from her career as an educator. That was the year before I started my career as a Financial Advisor. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Children’s Literature and she told me the most complicated part of her career as a teacher was trying to understand her pension options. She advised me to learn as much as I could about pensions and retirement benefits packages because there would be plenty of people that were just as confused as she was, and they would need someone to help them through it.
Focus
I spent the early part of my career gaining knowledge of how my clients’ pension and benefit systems work. As a result of my mom’s advice I have developed four areas of client specialty:
Retiring Teachers and Administrators
Retiring State & Federal Employees
Retiring Utility Workers
Surviving Spouses
The common thread among these areas of service is a certain level of complexity in their pension plans and survivor benefits. The family funeral business I grew up in also showed me how important it was to help surviving spouses navigate pension and financial issues after the loss of their spouse. Additionally, our clients are drawing on our extensive experience with Social Security and Healthcare Decisions.
Background and Experience
Growing up in a home with parents that valued education, I was encouraged to become a lifetime learner. I later made it a priority to continue my education and development and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and RETIREMENT INCOME CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL™ certification.
Triumph in Teams
Growing up on a farm with four siblings, I learned the value of hard work and grew an appreciation for teamwork and the importance of family. Since then, I have been able to apply these principles to my practice and my clients have become an extension of my family. I live in Green Spring, WV with my wife, Chargenia, and my daughter, Brianna. In my free time, I act as referee for youth swim meets and play basketball and volleyball.
Focus
I enjoy helping our clients prepare for a number of critical financial events in the retirement process in addition to the important task of managing their investments.
They include:
Retirement and Pension Plan Analysis
Social Security and Health Care Strategies
Advanced Estate Planning Strategies
Evaluation and Processing company benefit applications
Investment Plan Development
Applying for widow or survivor benefits from company pension plans
Background and Experience
I started building deep relationships with my clients when I entered the Financial Profession after graduating from Loyola University Maryland, where I earned my degree in Business Administration in Accounting. I worked as a mutual fund accountant for T. Rowe Price until beginning my career as a Financial Advisor in 1992. I later made it a priority to continue my education and development and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and RETIREMENT INCOME CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL™ certification, to instill further confidence in my clients. After 30 years as a Financial Advisor, I joined the Hindman Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2022 to expand the resources and benefits I can provide to my valued clients.
Process
We are very proud of our low client to advisor ratio, which ensures we have the time to dedicate to our client’s needs. It was important to me to have a team in place that has the time to focus on my clients. I value the meaningful relationships I’ve developed with my clients, and work to provide the high level of service and communication they deserve. I believe in my process, and look forward to the opportunity to help make retirement less complicated.
Planting A Seed
From a young age, I was taught the importance of a strong work ethic from my family. I grew up on a small farm and watched my parents work hard as a teacher and millworker. At a young age, my grandparents purchased a few shares of Atlanta Gas and Light stock for me. As I got older, I researched the company and began learning about how investments work. This fascinated me and planted a seed for my future. I knew early on that helping people with their financial decisions would allow me to work hard doing something I am passionate about.

Experience & Community Involvement
My parents placed a strong value on education, and I graduated in Business Administration from Frostburg State University. I also earned my MBA from Frostburg State University. I now serve on the Board of Directors for the Frostburg State University Alumni Association. I was important to me to give back to the community I grew up and still live in. I serve as Program Director of the Rotary Club of Cumberland and sit on the Advisory Board for the Community Trust Foundation. I made it a priority to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist to instill confidence in my clients.

Small Town Professional
Growing up in a small coal mining town in Western, PA, most of the people we knew struggled to earn a living and came from single income families. I was taught how to work hard for a successful future and to be self-reliant. I teach my daughters those same lessons today. I chose a career in Financial Services and I believe it has been a rewarding choice.
Focus
I have worked through a number of market cycles, and understand how they impact our clients. I’ve provided service to clients in the best and worst of financial environments.
I have extensive experience in both client services and operations. Specifically, as a Senior Registered Client Associate, Officer, I oversee the overall operations of our practice. I implement many of the client-focused initiatives we develop and handle operational issues as they arise. I assist clients with placing trades, document processing, and account management. When questions come up, our clients expect answers promptly, and we strive to continually improve our services and our processes to meet our clients’ needs.
Experience
In 1991, I achieved a Business Degree from Cambria Rowe Business College and immediately began working in Financial Services. I joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 1998 as a Registered Client Associate and Notary Public. I have been working alongside Brad Hindman-Financial Advisor and his clients since 2000. Throughout my career, I have been recognized as one of the Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council Client Associates 7 times from 2012 to 2018. The Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council Client Associate (previously Premier Client Associate) distinction is held by a select group of Registered Client Associates within Wells Fargo Advisors nominated by their management for their consistent display of professionalism, integrity and core leadership values. I have also served on a number of client-service best practice forums and have participated in conferences sharing ideas with other leaders from within Wells Fargo Advisors. Outside of the office, I am a member of the Portage Volunteer Fire Department, assisting with various fund-raising activities and community events. I value the long-term relationships our team has developed with our clients. I enjoy helping our clients reach their financial goals and retire on their terms. I look forward to the opportunity to help you and your family.
Sticking to my Roots
I was born and raised on a farm here in the Greater Johnstown Community. I learned the value of a hard work ethic and personal achievement at an early age. My family taught me how to care for others above myself. It’s been a personal goal to stay close to home and establish a career in this area at a time when many young professionals are getting degrees and flocking to other cities and states.

I manage the schedule, process daily check deposits, implement team initiatives, and manage client communications as well as being responsible for overall practice administration. Each of our clients has a unique set of circumstances, and my primary goal is to provide personalized service that allows them to get the answers they need in a timely manner. I strive to set up their meetings and calls when it’s most convenient for them and give them access to the advice they need when they are making critical financial decisions. I bring the work ethic I was raised with to the office each and every day.
Experience
I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a Mathematics Degree and joined Managing Director – Investments, Brad Hindman’s team the same year. I attained my Series 7 Securities Registration in 2015 and Series 63 Securities Registration in 2017. In 2018 I was recognized as one of the Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council Client Associates. Putting the Pieces Together
Growing up in the Greensburg Area with 2 working parents, I learned the value of hard work and balancing careers and life. Now, as a single mom, raising my son inspires me to keep that balance. My son loves Legos and watching his creativity in building something has made me realize that our role is to help our clients build and assemble their financial futures, carefully, one piece at a time. I enjoy connecting with people and chose to work in the Financial Profession so I can be part of this special process.
Focus
As a Registered Client Associate, Officer, my role on the team is to foster relationships with our clients and to coordinate the overall operations of our Greensburg Practice. I assist our clients and our team of advisors in many key areas of our day-to-day operations and activities. I interact with our clients before meetings to update their personal information, perform account maintenance, prepare and process documents, handle daily deposits and distribution requests. I strive to provide a personalized experience that allows our clients to get access to the advice and assistance they need while enjoying the process along the way.
Experience
I have been working in client service since 2008, starting in retail sales and management, because I enjoy working alongside people and problem solving. I began my career in Financial Services in 2014 as a Personal Banker. Throughout my banking career, I became a Notary Public and was promoted to a Licensed Relationship Banker. I look forward to the opportunity to help you and your family.
Enjoy The Journey
I grew up in Western Maryland and my fondest memories were of working in the garden with my parents and siblings. I learned the value of hard work from my family and knew that helping people was something very important and rewarding to me.
My parents also taught us the importance of working as a team. I carried that belief into raising my children as well as growing in my career.

Experience
I’ve always been captivated by the Financial and Accounting Profession and it inspired me to earn my bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a Minor in Business from The University of Maryland University College. I also earned a Computer Science Degree from Allegany College of Maryland. I have over a decade of experience in a business and law environment and I found through all of that experience that I was most devoted to working with individuals and families directly and helping with the special process of building their financial futures.
In 2017, while preparing to sit for the CPA exam, I decided to change my path to the one I am on now. I accepted a position at Wells Fargo Advisors and knew I had found my calling. This philosophy inspired me to join the Hindman Financial Group in 2022. Joining this new team allowed me to further advance my career. Navigating the Path
Growing up in the Cumberland area, I was taught from a young age the importance of lifting up those around us. Helping the people I love navigate difficult decisions led me to the financial service industry. I began as a bank teller, where I quickly saw a need for people to better understand their finances. After that I spent 16 years as a Federal Contractor for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board. As a wife and proud mom of two kids, Emma and Landon, I know how complicated life can get, so I enjoy getting to know our clients and helping people have a better understanding of their finances.

I have been working in the Financial Profession since the early 2000s, starting as a teller at a local bank. During that time, I also received a degree from Allegany College of Maryland in Administrative Services. After working for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board for the next 16 years, I realized I wanted to take the knowledge I gained there and use it to help individuals and families in a more personal way. This led me to join Wells Fargo Advisors and the Hindman Financial Group in 2023. Since being a mother and caring for those that I love is such a key part of my life, I appreciate the meaningful relationships we build with our clients.
