What We Do

Our Services

Your investments should work together to help you reach your financial goals. You have access to many investment products and services. Here are some we offer to help you build your plan for the future and for now.

Concentrated Stock Strategies

Many investors have a significant portion of their wealth concentrated in a handful of stocks. Such concentrated positions can overly expose investors to risks specific to those companies, and the characteristics of these stocks may not align perfectly with investor’s specific needs.

Thus, we use several strategies to help our clients manage risk, gain cash flows, and increase liquidity as they hold concentrated stock positions. Additionally, we offer ways to diversify out of concentrated stock positions striving to minimize significant tax consequences for certain qualified investors.

Tax Efficient Investing

Many of our high-net-worth clients have exposure to high tax rates. Thus, investing in such a way that taxes are minimized or reduced is of paramount concern. Due to the diversity of tax situations for our clients, we offer a range of strategies for tax efficient investing. These strategies include but are not limited to tax free income and tax loss harvesting, as appropriate for each client’s individual situation.

Advisory Services

We offer advisory services to manage client investments in concert with their broader financial needs. Our team includes Thai Hoang & Daniel Luddy, PIM (Private Investment Management) portfolio managers, who can act as your personal portfolio managers. Our team’s marriage of investment management and wealth planning is central to our mission of achieving our clients’ financial goals in a responsible and cohesive fashion.

Insurance

An important part of risk management is the transfer of risk from our clients to other parties through insurance. As part of our comprehensive approach to meeting our clients’ financial needs, we offer insurance to manage risk where appropriate, namely life and long-term care insurance.

Insurance products are offered through nonbank insurance agency affiliates of Wells Fargo & Company and are underwritten by unaffiliated insurance companies.

Estate Planning Services

One of investors’ most important financial goals is often to have a sound plan for their estate. Our team fulfills this need through analysis of a client’s estate plan and assets to recommend tools which help align their finances with their desired financial legacy.

Executive Services

Company owners and executives often have specific financial situations involving exposure to the risk associated with their company, especially through restricted stock. Our team can help work within your network to manage your unique needs.

Lending

Through our relationship with Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., we offer access to various lending services to help our clients increase their liquidity where it is appropriate. This includes securities-based lending and mortgage services.

Securities-based lending has special risks and is not appropriate for everyone. If the market value of a client’s pledged securities declines below required levels, the client may be required to pay down the line of credit or pledge additional eligible securities in order to maintain it, or the lender will require the sale of some or all of the client’s securities. Wells Fargo Advisors will attempt to notify clients of maintenance calls but is not required to do so. Clients are not entitled to choose which securities in their accounts are sold. The sale of their securities may cause clients to suffer adverse tax consequences. Clients should discuss the tax implications of pledging securities as collateral with their tax advisors. An increase in interest rates will affect the overall cost of borrowing. All securities and accounts are subject to eligibility requirements. Clients should read all Priority Credit Line documents carefully. The proceeds from the Priority Credit Line may not be used to purchase additional securities or pay down a margin account debit (talk to your financial advisor about additional restrictions on the use of proceeds). Securities held in a retirement account cannot be used as collateral to obtain a securities-based loan. Securities in a Priority Credit Line collateral account must meet collateral eligibility requirements.

Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (“the Bank”) offers various banking, advisory, fiduciary and custody products and services, including discretionary portfolio management. Wells Fargo affiliates, including Financial Advisors of Wells Fargo Advisors, may be paid an ongoing or one-time referral fee in relation to clients referred to the Bank. In these instances, the Bank is responsible for the day-to-day management of any referred accounts.

Wells Fargo Advisors does not provide tax or legal advice.
