Byron is a graduate of the University of Washington. He graduated from the school of business where he earned a BS degree in Finance with a minor in Economics in 1971.
Byron worked in the apparel industry as a business owner from 1971 until 1982. Along the way, Byron also developed property in Eastern Washington where he was a general partner in several shopping centers and office buildings in the Tri-City area.
In 1982 Byron and his family returned to Bellevue where he began his investment career with Foster and Marshall. In 1986, Byron joined Smith Barney where he remained until 2007.
While at Smith Barney, Byron earned many distinctions and awards. For over 15 years Byron was a “Chairman’s or Director’s member” based on production, which placed him at the top 5%-10% of Smith Barney advisors. He also completed Consulting Group University and Graduate School at the firm.
Byron believes in giving back to his community and the world. He has completed many philanthropic trips to Mexico, Honduras and most recently Kenya to minister to those less fortunate.
