Isabel Candela, AAMS
Senior Vice President – Investments
Branch Manager
For more than 20 years, Isabel has helped clients confidently navigate their financial lives. She works with clients who value a holistic approach to retirement and estate planning. Her passion for helping people started at an early age as she witnessed family members inherit wealth yet lack the knowledge to properly manage it, resulting in financial struggle.
She prides herself on building trusting relationships based on candor, transparency, with great care and understanding for her clients. This foundation allows her clients to make informed financial decisions based on facts rather than emotions. She seeks to simplify the complex matters of investments and planning. She believes her clients appreciate her ability to make these complex concepts less intimidating and easier to understand.
Isabel adheres to a multi-step process to tailor a written investment plan for each of her clients so they can better understand and prepare for the potential financial challenges they might face. She also collaborates with clients’ other trusted professionals, such as their CPA and/or attorney, in order to develop more thoughtful long-term strategies. As a Fundamental Choice Portfolio Manager*, Isabel offers discretionary portfolio management to her advisory program clients. She can create and monitor personalized portfolios that take into account each clients’ tax sensitivity and other individual needs.
Her process begins with a qualitative understanding of major life goals followed by a quantitative analysis for each goal. Once goals are prioritized, Isabel determines the initial recommendation and develops a unique plan for each client. Periodic monitoring of advisory accounts and annual client reviews ensure the plan remains on track, yet allows for customization as a client's situation inevitably changes.
Isabel’s team also includes Client Associate, Kelli DeBruycker. Together, they provide a wide range of wealth management services to a select number of clients. Fewer clients allows for more time with each client, better accessibility when financial or planning advice is needed as well as a deeper understanding of clients’ priorities and values thus allowing delivery of the highest level of service.
Isabel also serves as the Branch Manager of the Seneca, SC office. She and her husband, Chris Mobbs, reside in Clemson, SC with their two sons. She graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Finance (concentration in Investments). Isabel enjoys spending time with her family, watching her boys in their activities and relaxing on Lake Keowee. She serves on the Endowment Committee for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and has served in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Clemson, Association of Women Professionals, and Chairperson of the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce and Chairperson and founding member of The Arts Center in Clemson.
