Introduction
Jane Sholder is a seasoned and experienced Senior Financial Advisor and has been with Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor banks since 1988. With well over 30 years of experience within the financial industry, Jane is adept at providing clients with focused guidance and tailored investment advice to help them achieve their goals as well as prepare for and navigate retirement.
Experience
Jane’s financial career began in 1988 on the bank branch side as a management trainee, quickly transitioning to a role as branch manager. While acting as a branch manager, Jane not only learned valuable management skills, but also discovered a passion for the advisory aspect of the business which would allow her to better provide clients with the ability to help achieve their financial goals. In 2000, Jane decided to pursue this interest on the investment side of the business, joining Barry Kelly as a broker funded sales assistant, focusing on client investment education as well as customer service. Acting as a liaison with vital banking knowledge, Jane was able to provide well-rounded service to Barry’s clients. In 2012, Jane participated in Wells Fargo Advisor’s FA training program, joining Barry Kelly as a junior financial advisor. After Barry took early retirement due to health issues, Jane joined in partnership with Senior Financial Advisor Niall McKnight, eventually becoming a Senior Financial Advisor herself. Jane holds a Bachelors of the Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University and holds her series 6, 7, 63, 65, and insurance registrations. Beyond her technical expertise, Jane’s approach is characterized by her unwavering dedication to building meaningful, long-lasting relationships. She takes great pride in always advocating for the best interests of her clients. She continually strives to expand her knowledge, recently becoming certified to offer the fundamental choice advisory program.
Away From the Office
When not in the office, Jane enjoys spending time with her family – Marc, her husband of 28 years, Emily and Meredith, her two adult daughters, as well as Winnie and Munch, her two dogs. Jane’s favorite vacation spot is Walt Disney World with the family. Jane’s favorite sport – field hockey. After playing the sport for Harvard University, herself, Jane loves traveling far and wide to watch Meredith play field hockey, previously, for the University of North Carolina and now for the USA Women’s National Team
