Background and experience

Managing Director - Investments and the founder of the Jeff Layman Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. Jeff has over 30 years’ experience helping clients achieve their goals. He manages an array of portfolios on a discretionary basis with the primary focus of effectively managing risk while seeking to generate above average returns.  Jeff received the Wells Fargo Advisors Premier Advisor distinction in 2019 - 2023. This distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors and is measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients.

 Away from the office

Jeff currently serves on the Board of Curators for the University of Missouri. From 2010 to 2016, Jeff served as a Trustee for Ozarks Technical Community College.  He also served as a Board Member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks from 2003 to 2009. 

Jeff has two sons, Maxwell and Oliver.  They reside in Springfield, Missouri.  Jeff enjoys traveling, reading, sports and spending time with his family.

Melanie is a Client Associate focused on providing clients with outstanding client service. Melanie joined the Jeff Layman Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in January 2022 with over 9 year of experience in the finance industry. Currently Melanie is working on obtaining her series 7 registration to support the team further. Melanie is working alongside Jeff Layman Managing Director - Investment Officer, who has over 29 years‘ experience helping clients achieve their financial goals while managing an array of portfolios on a discretionary basis.

Away from the office

Melanie and her husband, Brad, live in Springfield, Missouri.  They have two young children Zoe and Zayne.

Away from work, Melanie enjoys a good book, traveling especially to her home country Austria, and of course spending time with family and friends.
