Robert Eugene Petro (Gene)
Gene began his career in the Financial Industry in 1980 as a Financial Advisor with EF Hutton and had remained with the same firm throughout its subsequent mergers with Shearson, Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley until 2015 when he joined Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network as a Senior Financial Advisor and Branch Manager.
He has counseled individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations in managing financial assets through critical times and the many cycles of the economy.
Over the years, Gene has been deeply involved in philanthropic endeavors which include the cofounding of St. Jude On The Bay in 1997, an independent fundraising organization that benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. He was also part of the sports association that helped establish organized soccer in Mobile in 1970 and has participated in the adult league as a player until transitioned to the role as a game official for high school and adult divisions, in 2016.
Gene and his wife Elizabeth live in mid-town Mobile and have three grown children and one granddaughter. They are members of St. Matthew’s parish in Mobile.
