Joe and his wife, Monica, have been married for 24 years. They live in Alpine, CA, with their three sons—Preston (18), Owen (15) and Oliver (9). Together, they embrace an active lifestyle, enjoying mountain biking, skiing and backpacking.

A dedicated community servant, he serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America and is actively involved in his church as a youth leader.

Just as he guides his clients through financial decisions, Joe is a mentor to young people, helping them build confidence, resilience and leadership skills.

Rebecca Gennaro is a senior philanthropic trust advisory specialist and executive director with Wells Fargo Bank’s Wealth & Investment Management division. She serves the following areas in the Western division: Southern California (San Diego, Palm Desert, Orange County), Arizona, and Las Vegas, NV. Wells Fargo Bank’s Philanthropic Services helps charitable individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations work toward their unique goals by providing specialized advisory services.

Rebecca works with individuals and families to define and help achieve their charitable objectives as part of their overall wealth plans. This may include gift and tax planning, multi-generational planning, reviewing estate plans, and the creation and management of donor advised funds, private foundations, charitable trusts, and other charitable planning strategies. She also works extensively with nonprofit organizations, where she advises in the areas of gift planning, endowment management, board governance, and other management issues. Rebecca collaborates with her clients and their other advisors to leverage their resources to help maximize the impact of their philanthropy.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank, Rebecca worked at the University of California San Diego and the American Red Cross, where she served as a planned giving specialist advising donors on strategies to maximize their philanthropic impact and supporting fundraising efforts. Prior to that, she worked with high-net-worth clients as a trusts and estates attorney. She has worked in the philanthropic space for almost 20 years.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of California Riverside and her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar (not currently practicing) and holds the Charted Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP^®) designation from The American College of Financial Services. She has received education from the 21/64 program in multigenerational philanthropic advising, facilitation, and next generation engagement.

Rebecca enjoys being actively involved in the community and currently serves on the boards of The New Children’s Museum and the La Costa Meadows Elementary PTO. She is a former board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) San Diego. In her spare time, she also enjoys music, sports and exploring the city with her family.

Kevin McWayne is senior trust advisor with Wells Fargo Bank within Wealth & Investment Management division located in San Diego, California with more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Mr. McWayne works with clients to integrate fiduciary and investment knowledge into each client’s custom wealth plan. He coordinates with investment strategists to align investments with the client’s goals and values. Based on the particular situation, Mr. McWayne can coordinate a variety of specialists in order to help grow and preserve assets, while working toward the client’s overall wealth goals.

During his career at Wells Fargo Bank, Mr. McWayne has served as a private banker, regional private banker Manager and a senior trust & fiduciary specialist.

Mr. McWayne earned a Bachelor Degree in Political Science from The University of San Diego as well as a Juris Doctorate from Chapman University School of Law. He has also holds the  Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) professional designation from the American Banking Association.  He is also part of the Chapman University School of Law Alumni Association, University of San Diego Planned Giving Board, Scripps Planned Giving Council.  He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, Supreme Court of California, U.S. District Court, Central District of California not currently practicing.

Jaclyn Smith is a senior wealth strategist with Wells Fargo Bank Wealth & Investment Management. Located in San Diego, California, Jaclyn works closely with high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients to understand their goals, values, and objectives and to help align those with financial and wealth decisions made by the client by providing education and personalized advice.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank, Jaclyn was a tax, trust, and estate attorney in the San Francisco Bay and San Diego areas working with a diverse group of high-net-worth clients developing and implementing sophisticated estate planning strategies. She has experience advising clients in the area of estate planning, succession planning, wealth preservation, wealth transfer, asset protection, charitable giving, trust administration, probate and business formation and succession and counseling. Jaclyn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Davis, and a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law, with a certificate in Legal Writing. While in private practice, and prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank, Jaclyn earned her certification as a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. While Jaclyn maintains her membership with the California State Bar, she is no longer practicing law.

She continues to be a member of the Taxation and trusts & Estates Section of the California State Bar, and has previously served as Board of Director, Former Chair Pro Tempore of the Trusts & Estate Section, and President of the Barristers for the San Mateo County Bar Association.
