After graduating from Hampden-Sydney College with a B.A. in Classical Studies, J.P. began his career in 1991 working at Dean Witter as an Account Executive and then at NationsBank as a Trust Officer. While at Nations, he attended the Cannon Financial Institute where he developed his knowledge and skills of trust management and estate settlement, completing the Cannon Trust School three-part program. J.P. continued to develop his career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch and at UBS prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors.
To earn his Certified Financial PlannerTM certification, J.P. has demonstrated skill in analyzing and developing personal long-term financial strategies and has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous planning courses and examinations. These courses were followed by a 10-hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
Now, collaborating with his team and the other resources available at Wells Fargo Advisors, J.P. works to guide successful individuals, business owners and multi-generational families through investment, tax, trust, insurance, estate, charity and beneficiary planning strategies.
Away from the office J.P.’s primary focus is raising his blended family of 6 children with his wife Janie. Together, they enjoy traveling, relaxing by the pool, or playing sports. You can often find J.P. riding his Harley when he’s not training for his next IRONMAN race. He has completed three such triathlons, and continues his disciplined training in his spare time with a goal to complete one race annually. J.P. is also an active member of Christ Church Episcopal Church and donates his time to Meals on Wheels.

She is a team player and as a Senior Client Associate is passionate about connecting with clients on a personal level – she cares deeply about each person she meets and makes it a priority to share in their lives with them as she helps them with whatever it is they need – whether that’s opening an account, managing transfers, or walking them through our Access Online tools. Ellen aims to be consistently attentive, accurate, and caring, making her an invaluable asset to the team and to our clients.
Ellen likes to spend her time away from the office serving her community – she volunteers with Meals on Wheels – and cheering for her Carolina Gamecocks every chance she gets. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, and her daughters, Elisabeth (a student at Wofford College) and Caroline (a student at the Citadel). She loves animals, and you can often find her walking or playing with her dogs, Hank and Baxter. She and her family live in Simpsonville.
