Background

I graduated Cum Laude from California State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and began my career with Wells Fargo Advisors in 1996. I also hold the Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ (AAMS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Away From the Office

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, staying active, and spending time with my family and our sweet dog, Chloe. My activities include skiing, biking, and hiking. I actively contribute to various charitable organizations locally and at the national level, including the ASPCA.

With a background in financial services and a strong commitment to client care, I support individuals and families in navigating their financial journeys. As part of a seasoned advisory team, I help deliver personalized strategies that reflect each client’s unique goals—whether planning for retirement, managing investments, or preparing for multigenerational wealth transfer.

I work closely with our team to ensure clients benefit from a thoughtful, disciplined approach and the full depth of our firm’s resources. My role is centered on building lasting relationships, fostering trust, and helping clients feel confident in the decisions they make with us.

Outside of my professional role, I’m a devoted husband and father of two. I enjoy playing guitar, cooking, and spending meaningful time with my family—experiences that keep me grounded and focused on what truly matters.

Kristen Sutherland is a Senior Registered Client Associate with Wells Fargo Advisors. She began her career with Wells Fargo in 2008 and has gained extensive experience through a variety of roles across the firm, most recently transitioning to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2021.

Over the years, Kristen has built a strong foundation in client service and operations. She enjoys collaborating with and supporting her team, while also building lasting relationships with clients to help them feel confident and cared for as they pursue their financial goals.

Kristen holds her FINRA Series 6, Series 63, Series 7 registrations, and Life Insurance Licenses, which enable her to provide well – rounded support to both clients and her team.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. Together they enjoy camping, beach days, and exploring the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula. Her daughter adds joy and energy to her life, inspiring Kristen’s positive and approachable outlook both personally and professionally.
