A hands-on, goals-based advisor with more than 25 years of experience, Eric Caindec’s primary focus is helping his clients feel financially comfortable with the life they’re living, as well as with the direction they’re going. Integral to helping clients achieve long-term financial security and success is developing strong relationships that help Eric understand each client and create a roadmap individualized to their specific goals and aspirations. He uses a strategic, holistic approach and incorporates scenario planning and both sides of the balance sheet to help clients build realistic plans and make informed decisions about their futures.
To begin his educational career, Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He then attended the University of Southern California, where he received a Master of Science in Systems Management. After starting his professional career in econometric forecasting, Eric transitioned to financial services in 1996, when he put his problem-solving skills and passion for numbers to work helping people. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional who primarily works with families to design and implement custom plans, as well as closely monitor, rebalance, and update those plans over time. Eric is an advisor who successfully blends his analytical nature with genuine empathy and compassion. He considers it a privilege to be able to help make a difference in his clients’ lives every day.
Born in Honolulu, Eric was raised in Hawaii and Southern California. In 1991, he and his wife, Cara, settled in the Bay Area, where they raised their two now-adult sons and still live today. A believer in giving back to his community, Eric volunteers at local food banks and is on the board of directors for an affordable housing property affiliated with his church. He enjoys salmon fishing, hiking, cooking, golfing, and playing the ukulele.
