Matt Welding

Matt Welding, Financial Advisor, was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois, before attending college in Iowa. He spent 16 years in Iowa, where he began his career in the financial services industry in 2012. During that time, he advised clients across a broad range of investment planning needs and later expanded his focus to include entrepreneurship. After starting a family, Matt and his wife Renita chose to return to Quincy to be closer to friends and family and to raise his children in the community he has long called home.

Matt attended St. Ambrose University on a basketball scholarship, where he earned his bachelor’s degrees in Finance, Economics, and Business Management. During his time at the university, he served as President of the Financial Strategy Council and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. His collegiate experience helped shape his discipline, leadership, teamwork, and competitive drive—qualities that continue to influence his professional approach today.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Matt places a strong emphasis on family. He and his wife Renita have three children—Blake, Niles, and Ruby—and a yellow lab, Henry. He enjoys staying active through golf, basketball, and mountain biking, is an avid sports fan, and values reading and traveling with his family, creating meaningful experiences both at home and on the road.
