Since beginning his financial services career in 1980, Rick has gained extensive experience during major shifts in the market enabling him to help his clients stay on track toward their financial goals. Before joining the brokerage industry, Rick served as an Air Force pilot and was later a 777 Captain with United Airlines. In 1971 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Political Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs where he finished as a distinguished graduate. He then received a Master of Arts degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Boston. Rick started with Merrill Lynch in 1980 before moving his practice to a Wells Fargo Advisors predecessor firm four years later, where he has been a member of the production based recognition clubs and is currently a Premier Advisor**. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification from the College for Financial Planning in 1988.
In his free time, Rick enjoys the many cultural, entertainment and sports activities that Chicago has to offer. As weather permits, he bikes and plays golf and tennis. A Chicagoland resident since 1979, Rick is also a big Chicago sports fan. Rick and his wife, Marsha, share an interest of traveling the world and have two grown children, Jessica and Rick III, and two grandchildren.
