For almost two decades, Mike has been helping clients address their financial concerns and worries by developing sound strategies and focusing on each individual's specific needs. With experience throughout major shifts in the markets, Mike has dedicated his career to delivering the personalized investment and planning services that his clients deserve.
He began his career as a Financial Advisor with A. G. Edwards & Sons in Rochester, NY. It was with A.G. Edward & Sons that Mike believes that his core knowledge of investments and planning was developed.
Mike believes in a holistic approach to financial problem solving. When it comes to your financial picture, he believes that not a single element can stand on its own without consideration of the whole. A solid consistent process is important to support this notion and creates a uniform client experience. Our ever evolving Industry has also taught him, that for the client-advisor relationship to work well, the advisor must limit the number of individuals and families they manage. Deeper more meaningful conversations with clients tend to result from going this route, and they generate much more valuable results.
Mike's love of history and desire for community involvement has resulted in his participation as a board and committee member of several nonprofit organizations and museums over the years. His roles in the organizations usually revolve around developing long term plans which are systematic, scalable and measurable. He finds that plans based on a concept of 'form follows function' allows an organization to develop a program that is better rooted and able to weather unexpected developments.
Mike, his wife Joann, and their son Finley, live in the City of Corning. Mike met his wife at SUNY Geneseo and relocated here in 2000. When not at work, he can be found with his family, taking in the beauty of the 1000 Islands Region of the St. Lawrence River or tinkering in his garage. He picked up his interest in old cars and wood boats from his father and a love for antique furniture from his mother. Mike believes that a firm understanding of the past is the best base from which to challenge the future.
