Patrick Baumann is the Managing Director and Market Leader for New York City at Wells Fargo Advisors, where he leads all aspects of Wealth Management across the region. In this role, Patrick is focused on creating a destination for the industry’s top financial professionals — a place where culture, leadership, and opportunity align to help advisors take their business to the next level.
With a career spanning over 20 years at Wells Fargo Advisors, Patrick brings deep experience and perspective to his leadership. He began his journey as an independent financial advisor, gaining firsthand understanding of what it takes to build a successful practice. That foundation paved the way for a series of leadership roles focused on talent acquisition and business development, including Regional Business Director positions in both the Central and Northeast Divisions, Divisional Director for the Finet Independent Channel in the Northeast, and Head of Recruiting for the entire Northeast Division — where he led a team focused on attracting and supporting the best advisors in the industry.
Now, as the leader of one of the firm’s most strategically important markets, Patrick brings together his passion for people, his understanding of the advisor experience, and two decades of commitment to the Wells Fargo Advisors platform to help others grow.
Outside of work, Patrick is all about family and enjoying life to the fullest. He lives in the New York area with his wife, Anna, and their three children — Blythe, James, and Michael. He’s an avid cook, enjoys spending time outdoors, and rarely turns down a chance to jump into a game or any kind of sporting activity.
Patrick’s leadership style is grounded in authenticity, experience, and a genuine desire to help advisors realize their full potential — both professionally and personally.
Patrick draws inspiration from Theodore Roosevelt’s timeless words:
“It is not the critic who counts… The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena… who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again… but who does actually strive to do the deeds.”
This philosophy — to lead by doing, to take risks, and to stay grounded in purpose — informs his leadership every day.
