certified financial planner
A Financial Advisor who has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation has demonstrated skill in analyzing and developing personal, long-term financial strategies. A CFP® professional has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous courses and examinations offered by various colleges and universities across the country. These courses are then followed by a 10-hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The qualification process, comprehensive array of advice, and skill-based approach distinguish CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioners from other professional advisors, who typically focus on only one area of a client’s financial life.

chartered retirement planning counselor
A Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) professional can help you uncover the challenges you may face and develop a strategy for confronting them. Financial Advisors with the CRPC® certification have in-depth knowledge of the investment planning process and are specially trained on the pre- and post-retirement needs of investors like you.

To earn this certification, a Financial Advisor must successfully complete intensive training offered through the College for Financial Planning. This training program covers many important investment planning concepts, including asset management, estate planning and retirement planning. CRPC® professionals must also pass a rigorous examination and sign a code of ethics.

PIM Portfolio Manager.png
A Private Investment Management (PIM) Portfolio Manager is a specially trained Financial Advisor to manage client’s investment portfolios in a discretionary manner, guided closely by the research recommendations and collective insights of Wells Fargo Securities and external research firms whose services we subscribe to. Each portfolio follows an investment plan customized to the client’s needs and may represent a blend of stocks, cash alternatives, exchange traded funds, closed end funds and allowable mutual funds.

Wells Fargo Advisors’ PIM Portfolio Managers must meet eligibility requirements which include a minimum of two years of experience as a portfolio manager, five years of industry experience, and successful completion of stringent securities exams. They complete advanced training, including an ethics exam, proxy exam and a 40-hour portfolio management training course. Only five percent of the firm’s financial advisors have met the criteria to act as PIM Portfolio Managers.

*The PIM program may not be suitable for all investors. Please carefully review the Wells Fargo Advisors advisory disclosure document for a full description of our services. The minimum account size for this program is $50,000.
