With over 30 years of experience in financial services, I understand that change is constant. My own life has given me the gift of experience from caring for and launching my children, building a meaningful career, and helping my parents as they grew older. My passion is getting to know my clients and understanding what is important to them, their needs and priorities.
My mission is to connect, listen and collaborate with my clients to provide targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.
My philosophy is simple: There are several ways to get from here to there. Together we will examine different strategies and find the best fit for you and your family. Whether you are planning your retirement, creating an income stream, saving for your children or grandchildren’s education, or looking to preserve your wealth - I can help.
Before entering the financial services industry, I graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Business. I have worked as a Financial Advisor to both individual and institutional investors since 1987.
A commitment to service also carries over to my involvement with our local Annapolis community. I served on the Board of the Annapolis Lighthouse Shelter for 9 years and am still actively involved on the development committee. I enjoy golfing and spending time with my two sons, Peter and Henry.
I consider it an honor and privilege to guide my clients on their journey throughout their financial lives. With a focus on high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as businesses and nonprofits, I take pride in offering ongoing, proactive advice and customized solutions for every stage of life. Whether it is assisting in organizing finances, developing comprehensive roadmaps for the future, transitioning to retirement, or simply helping clients achieve their goals, my personalized approach has established me as a trusted advisor and has allowed me to create and maintain long-lasting client relationships.
Through consistent collaboration and communication, I help clients grow, preserve, and transfer their wealth. To deliver on Rivergate Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors’ core belief in being accessible to our clients, I strive to be a client’s first call when they need answers, direction, or information about their financial lives. I’ve been distinguished as a Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council member again in 2023. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices, and team structure may also be used to determine recipients. I also won the award in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
A Kent Island native, I live in Annapolis with my wife, Colleen, and our Husky, Bella. I value being an active member of the community. I’ve served as a volunteer firefighter with the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department since 2004. Colleen and I enjoy boating all over the Chesapeake Bay and are members of the Annapolis Yacht Club and Baltimore Country Club. We also love traveling, domestically and internationally, and are constantly trying to check destinations off our travel list.

My goal is to help you take a proactive approach to your financial success. I am dedicated to collaborating with you to make sound financial decisions and seeing you gain a better understanding of investing, retirement, estate planning strategies, and wealth preservation.
I believe in being accessible and personally responsive. Whether by phone, email, or online access, when my clients need me I am here for them. Accessibility and outbound communication are the foundation of my personal service model. This service model is buttressed by the resources of Wells Fargo Advisors and my team, a team that has been built around the purpose of helping you.
In 2009, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification by meeting rigorous experience and industry requirements, as well as successfully completing coursework on financial topics such as: general principles of financial strategies, insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, and retirement and estate planning strategies. Prior to joining the financial services industry, I earned my B.A. in Japanese from The Ohio State University.
I enjoy spending time with my husband Sam. Most often we can be found in the kitchen cooking, attending the opera, or traveling to see friends and family. We are both dual citizens of the USA and France so if you are ever traveling to France consider me a resource for that too!

Wells Fargo Advisors is not a legal or tax advisor. However, we will be glad to work with you, your accountant, tax advisor and or lawyer to help you meet your financial goals. Any estate plan should be reviewed by an attorney who specializes in estate planning and is licensed to practice in your state. Insurance products are offered through nonbank insurance agency affiliates of Wells Fargo & Company and are underwritten by unaffiliated insurance companies.
My #1 goal is to support my clients as a “family advisor” by providing sound advice during all their important life events and milestones and being their first call when they need input about matters both big and small. I take pride in educating my clients about their options to empower them with the confidence to make informed choices for themselves and their families. My clients value my balanced approach, blending my straightforward tell-it-like-it-is nature with visionary thinking — meaning I’m a realist who keeps them grounded and an idealist who can dream with them.
I work with individuals and families of all ages and stages to help them build, manage, preserve, and transfer their wealth. To help my clients simplify the complexities of their financial lives, I serve as the main point of contact for all financial questions. I accomplish this by collaborating with their attorneys, accountants, and other professionals to help maximize efficiencies and ensure goal alignment. I seek to build meaningful long-term relationships with my clients, and it is my privilege to work with many of their next generations. Because I was fortunate to have strong financial mentors early in life, I am now committed to doing the same for others by helping to guide my clients toward achieving their own financial security and success.
A native of the Eastern Shore, I have lived in Pasadena with my husband Billy and our 3 children for nearly 20 years. I’m proud of my close, connected family. We have a family dinner nightly and enjoy the beach, hiking, fishing, and playing games together. We also share a love of travel, particularly to state parks, theme parks and campgrounds.

I build a very strong relationship with my clients. The customized plans I create are a function of what is important to my clients. I create investment plans that live and breathe with them and evolve around their life events. I utilize my professional and academic experience to provide the red-carpet service each client deserves. I have an MBA in finance and a master’s in economics. My academic experience helps me read data very efficiently and assign weightings to variables per my clients’ preferences and values. I am always available for my clients, and it gives me immense pleasure to help. I consider myself very blessed as I witness my clients’ journeys connecting with my ability to help them.
I earned a Master of Arts in Economics from Kansas State University with an emphasis on monetary policy. I also earned an MBA in Finance. Prior to my masters’ degrees, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
I have two beautiful children Aavya and Ayaan with my husband Sandeep Rana. All four of us love to travel, I love to cook, and we enjoy challenging each other often with math questions. Both my husband and I were raised in India and moved here for our education. We now proudly say that we have two homes. I firmly believe that no one, especially children, should be deprived of three healthy meals a day. Therefore, when giving back to our community, we make it a point to volunteer as a family at food banks.
