Background and Experience
With over 30 years of experience in financial services, I understand that change is constant. My own life has given me the gift of experience from caring for and launching my children, building a meaningful career, and helping my parents as they grew older. My passion is getting to know my clients and understanding what is important to them, their needs and priorities.
My mission is to connect, listen and collaborate with my clients to provide targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.
My philosophy is simple: There are several ways to get from here to there. Together we will examine different strategies and find the best fit for you and your family. Before entering the financial services industry, I graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Business. I have worked as a Financial Advisor to both individual and institutional investors since 1987.
Away from the Office
A commitment to service also carries over to my involvement with our local Annapolis community. I served on the Board of the Annapolis Lighthouse Shelter for 9 years and am still actively involved on the development committee. I enjoy golfing and spending time with my two sons, Peter and Henry.

Accessibility and outbound communication are the foundation of my personal service model. In 2009, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation (CFP®) by meeting rigorous experience and industry requirements, as well as successfully completing coursework on financial topics such as: general principles of financial strategies, insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, and retirement and estate planning strategies. Prior to joining the financial services industry, I earned my B.A. in Japanese from The Ohio State University.
Away from the Office
I enjoy spending time with my husband Sam. Most often we can be found in the kitchen cooking, attending the opera, or traveling to see friends and family. We are both dual citizen of the USA and France so if you are ever traveling to France consider me a resource for that too! Giving back, I volunteer for the Montgomery College Operating Budget committee because I believe that education is the heart of a community’s success.

A Kent Island native, I live in Annapolis with my wife, Colleen, and our Husky, Bella. I value being an active member of the community. I’ve served as a volunteer firefighter with the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department since 2004. Colleen and I enjoy boating all over the Chesapeake Bay and are members of the Annapolis Yacht Club and Baltimore Country Club. We also love traveling, domestically and internationally, and are constantly trying to check destinations off our travel list.

My goal is to give others the confidence that whatever they ask of me will be done and done right the first time. My background in TV news equipped me with exceptional communication skills, the art of quickly building rapport with people, and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. This plus my more than a decade of experience in financial services helps me excel in my current role. For me, a helper at heart, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client smile when they’re taken care of — or, in many cases, when I can hear the smile over the phone.
A Baltimore native, I grew up in Bel Air. My husband De’Von and I and our 3 young sons have lived in Owings Mills since 2018. I am active in my church, where I also volunteer. In my spare time I enjoy reading, research, line dancing, and hosting game nights with friends that include all kinds of fun card and board games.

A believer in supporting my community, I serve on the board of the Eastport Civic Association and am an active volunteer with a variety of fundraisers benefiting local groups. In my spare time I take full advantage of the area’s many remarkable recreational opportunities, including traveling around the Eastern Shore, biking, hiking, boating, and nature and wildlife photography. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, occasionally cooking and baking for them.
