With over 30 years of experience in financial services, I understand that change is constant. My own life has given me the gift of experience from caring for and launching my children, building a meaningful career, and helping my parents as they grew older. My passion is getting to know my clients and understanding what is important to them, their needs and priorities.

My mission is to connect, listen and collaborate with my clients to provide targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.

Before entering the financial services industry, I graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Business. I have worked as a Financial Advisor to both individual and institutional investors since 1987.

Away from the Office

A commitment to service also carries over to my involvement with our local Annapolis community. I currently serve on the Board of the Rise and Shine Bakery which provides workforce training and jobs in the bakery industry for people with employment barriers. I also serve on the Board of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. I enjoy golfing and spending time with my two sons, Peter and Henry.

In 2009, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® certification by meeting rigorous experience and industry requirements, as well as successfully completing coursework on financial topics such as: general principles of financial strategies, insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, and retirement and estate planning strategies. Prior to joining the financial services industry, I earned my B.A. in Japanese from The Ohio State University. 

Away from the Office 

I enjoy spending time with my husband Sam. Most often we can be found in the kitchen cooking, attending the opera, or traveling to see friends and family. We are both dual citizens of the USA and France so if you are ever traveling to France consider me a resource for that too!

Away from the office

A native of the Eastern Shore, I have lived in Pasadena with my husband Billy and our 3 children for nearly 20 years. I’m proud of my close, connected family. We have a family dinner nightly and enjoy the beach, hiking, fishing, and playing games together. We also share a love of travel, particularly to state parks, theme parks and campgrounds.

Background and experience

I build a very strong relationship with my clients.  The customized plans I create are a function of what is important to my clients. I create investment plans that live and breathe with them and evolve around their life events. I utilize my professional and academic experience to provide the red-carpet service each client deserves. I have an MBA in finance and a master’s in economics.  My academic experience helps me read data very efficiently and assign weightings to variables per my clients’ preferences and values. I am always available for my clients, and it gives me immense pleasure to help. I consider myself very blessed as I witness my clients’ journeys connecting with my ability to help them.

I earned a Master of Arts in Economics from Kansas State University with an emphasis on monetary policy. I also earned an MBA in Finance. Prior to my masters’ degrees, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Away from the office

I have two beautiful children Aavya and Ayaan with my husband Sandeep Rana. All four of us love to travel, I love to cook, and we enjoy challenging each other often with math questions. Both my husband and I were raised in India and moved here for our education. We now proudly say that we have two homes. I firmly believe that no one, especially children, should be deprived of three healthy meals a day. Therefore, when giving back to our community, we make it a point to volunteer as a family at food banks.

I have worked in the financial services industry for most of my career. Since joining the Rivergate Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2022, I’ve been able to leverage my operations background and leadership skills to enhance our clients’ experience. I strive to ensure client support is effective as possible by streamlining processes, integrating technology, and creating opportunities for collaboration.

Professional integrity, continual learning, and commitment to excellence shape my work ethic. I balance maintaining focus on the big picture with keen attention to detail to ensure business goals and client expectations are met and exceeded whenever possible.

I am a native of upstate New York’s Finger Lakes region and have called Annapolis home for more than a decade. I believe in supporting my community and have served on the board of the Eastport Civic Association. I have also volunteered and participated in a variety of fundraisers that benefit local groups. I enjoy traveling, biking, hiking, boating, and wildlife photography, along with spending time with family and friends.

I take pride in being the warm, welcoming voice to greet clients when they contact the Rivergate team. I take the lead on everyday client service and account maintenance, upholding the team’s commitment to attentiveness, responsiveness, courtesy, and sensitivity with every interaction. Known as a go-to resource with limitless energy and a can-do attitude, I am actively engaged in day-to-day client account maintenance doing whatever needs to be done — from opening accounts to managing transfers and more.

Never a check-the-box task taker, I strive to go above and beyond to answer questions, bring clarity to uncertainties and ensure all requests that cross my desk are reliably handled with both accuracy and speed. My goal is to give others the confidence that whatever they ask of me will be done and done right the first time. My background in TV news equipped me with exceptional communication skills, the art of quickly building rapport with people, and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. This plus my more than a decade of experience in financial services helps me excel in my current role. For me, a helper at heart, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client smile when they’re taken care of — or, in many cases, when I can hear the smile over the phone.

A Baltimore native, I grew up in Bel Air. My husband De’Von and I and our 3 young sons have lived in Owings Mills since 2018. I am active in my church, where I also volunteer. In my spare time I enjoy reading, research, line dancing, and hosting game nights with friends that include all kinds of fun card and board games.

I pride myself on establishing relationships and connecting with clients as well as fellow team members. I have 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, 13 of which have been with Wells Fargo. Prior to becoming a Client Associate, I built my experience as a Personal Banker, Business Associate, and Service Manager.

I’ve been married to my husband, Chris, for over 25 years. And, I have been blessed with three children: Kyle, Madison, and Sarah, as well as 5 grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and going to the beach, preferably together!
