James Carpentier-Levy is the First Vice President-Investments at The San Diego Legacy Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, James began his career focusing on life insurance and mortgage origination before joining Morgan Stanley in 2008. After successfully managing his own advisory practice for more than a decade, he recognized the increasing complexity of the financial landscape. In 2023, James decided to join The San Diego Legacy Group, and in 2024, he and the team transitioned their practice to Wells Fargo Advisors. This move was driven by a commitment to providing clients with access to a comprehensive suite of wealth management services, sophisticated planning resources, and advanced technology solutions.

James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a Minor in Business Administration from Cal State San Bernardino. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® certification. As a CFP^® professional, James developed a consistent process focused on understanding client needs, providing comprehensive strategies in a simple way, and executing those strategies on the clients’ behalf.

James lives in the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego with his wife and son. In his free time, he enjoys boating, golfing, skiing, jogging, and playing guitar.
