The CFP certification identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board and have successfully completed coursework on financial topics including general principles of financial strategies, insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, and retirement and estate planning strategies. CFP recipients also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements. Away from the office, Shannon is an avid reader and sports mom. She lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and son. Her family is originally from Michigan but has fondly called Virginia home since 2005.
