As a veteran Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors, I focus on our client’s individual needs by developing strategies and custom portfolios to help them reach their unique and diverse financial goals. With the world of investment and risk management becoming more difficult to navigate each year, I spend a substantial portion of my time collaborating with clients on their current portfolio allocations, estate planning strategies, and risk management objectives.  Many of our clients have been with us for several decades and have seen an evolution of change in their personal and financial lives. I work hard to adjust to the changing world our clients experience as they travel through life, collaborating closely with them as a trusted advisor and friend.

I have worked as a Financial Advisor to both individual and institutional investors since 1995 and have been recognized in 2026 as a Platinum Council Advisor, a distinction held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by business production from previous year and professionalism.

Before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 1997, I was a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter for three years. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public policy from Brigham Young University with an emphasis on Finance and Economics.

My mission and goal is to provide every client with targeted and comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management, delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity. This commitment to service also carries over to my involvement with our local community. I am active with The Road Home, LDS Humanitarian Services, and the Boy Scouts of America in my town.

Away from the office, I enjoy spending time in the Wasatch front back country, traveling to different lands and cultures, and spending time with my family and grandchildren.

 My wife Melanie and I are long time residents of Herriman Utah, and our four children all live along the Wasatch Front

My name is Sam Sleiman and I’m Private Wealth Financial Advisor and Managing Director-Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors. I started in the business over 35 years ago because one of my favorite MBA professors was a financial advisor. I liked his message about helping people with their financial wellbeing and that resonated with me. I knew then that I wanted to get the appropriate credentials that will allow me to help business owners and successful families create plans to manage the wealth and help pass it on to the next generation with minimal tax consequences. I studied and received credentials that include “Certified Investment Management Analyst ®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor ® and Qualified Plan Financial Consultant”. I have been fortunate to be named in 2025 and 2026 as Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors and Top 1,000 Financial Advisors by Barron’s 2010 and 2011.

When possible, I love to explore the world and travels. My activities include golf, tennis, pickleball and hanging out with my family.

While working in the financial services industry, I obtained my Bachelor Degree of Science in Marketing from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Massachusetts Amherst.  Now a Financial Advisor with the Salt Lake City office of Wells Fargo Advisors, I take pride in working for a firm that puts you first.

I have been with Sam Sleiman and Darin Dewsnup for 8 years as their Client Associate, with Wells Fargo for 10 years, and in the field for 20+ years in various positions. Having a knowledge of the industry and how it has changed over the years, understanding the ongoing changes to rules, regulations, and requirements, assisting the Financial Advisors in their day-to-day business. Processing money movements, account updates, researching, and assisting clients with their daily requests. I am self-motivated, reliable, responsible, and hard-working. Work well under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines and have been adaptable to all challenging situations, both in a team environment as well as using my own initiative.

Before entering the financial services industry, I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor Degree in business. I joined Wells Fargo in 1997, starting in operations before launching my career at Wells Fargo Advisors in 1999.  Since then, I’ve been an integral part of the Sleiman/Dewsnup team, bringing extensive knowledge of the security industry. Finra Series 7, 63, 65, 66, 9 and 10 securities registration. 

My role involves staying current with industry changes and processes, assisting Financial Advisors, and seamlessly managing a high volume of client calls and day-to-day tasks, I take pride in my efficiency and dedication, ensuring each client’s unique financials goals and needs are understood. As a self-starter, reliable professional, I take personal responsibility for every task that comes across my desk and always complete in a timely manner.

Outside of work, my husband Jeff and I, along with our two incredible daughters, enjoy family travels and have a passion for attending Broadway shows and musicals.
