This basic philosophy has been the centerpiece for how Eric and his team manage their wealth management practice and, more importantly, how they create trusting, life-long client relationships through the uncertainty of ever-changing markets.

For over 25 years, Eric has worked as a financial advisor representing individuals and their families and serving as a retirement plan specialist for corporations and family businesses.

Before he began his career as a wealth manager, Eric gained valuable experience and unique insights as a business owner and entrepreneur in both the private and public sectors. This “real world” training has enabled Eric to provide invaluable advice and expertise in a variety of financial areas, including investment and estate planning strategies, 401(k) management, investments, insurance, and financial markets, all with the support of an industry leading institution as solid as Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.

Away From the Office

An avid outdoorsman and offshore fisherman, Eric’s passion for a cleaner, healthier environment fueled his drive to create Clean Bayou, LLC, an environmental not-for-profit.  In just two years, Clean Bayou and its army of volunteers have worked tirelessly to remove 9.5 tons of trash and debris and over 400 discarded tires from the banks of the bayous located in and around Southwest Louisiana.

Eric, his wife, Shawn, and their beautiful daughter, Samantha, love to travel and experience all this beautiful world has to offer, having recently completed a family pilgrimage to Greece and Spain. 

When not attending LSU football games, traveling, or fishing offshore, Eric and family enjoy entertaining and sharing life with friends around the kitchen table where their collective love of food and friendship comes alive.

Background & Experience

For 20 years James has worked as a Financial Advisor. He began his career with Edward Jones in 2005.  He joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010 and then, in 2017, he and Eric Stevens when independent and joined the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network in 2017, a move that has given them additional tools, support, and resources to help them better manage their client’s assets. In 2015 James earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary Designation, AIF®. Advisors who have earned the AIF® Designation have a thorough understanding of the fiduciary standard of care and its application and are required by law to act solely in the interests of and with undivided loyalty to their clients.

With a strong sense of character, compassion, and integrity, he and his team have built a wealth management practice focused on creating life-long relationships that span generations. He provides comprehensive investment planning and has been successful by working with family business owners, retirees, and pre-retirees.

Away From the Office

James loves to travel and has journeyed to England, France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Mexico, South America, Antarctica, and many parts of the United States. He also has a passion for music. He plays the guitar, sings, and on occasion can be heard performing around town. An active person, he enjoys playing golf, soccer, running, scuba diving, snowboarding, kayaking, camping, biking, and hiking.

James is a proud father to his daughter Celia who is a graduate of McNeese State University and barista artist that The Beckery.

Background & Experience

Marlo has been in the business of providing customer service for over 30 years in industries that include retail, telecommunications, industrial and finance.  She holds two Bachelor of Science Degrees from McNeese State University in Accounting and Management.

Marlo has been a valued member of our team more than 11 years works diligently to maintain and nurture lasting relationships with all of our clients.   She provides personalized service and quick responses to their inquiries.

Marlo strives to ensure that our clients’ administrative and operational needs are handled accurately and quickly. She handles the day-to-day administration of accounts, including appointment management, opening new accounts, updating existing account information, managing account transfers, and answering questions regarding statements.
