For more than 30 years, Scott has worked to build strong relationships with his clients to understand their business and life goals.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California where he majored in Business Administration.  He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations as well as California Insurance Licenses for Life, Health, and Disability (insurance licensed in CA, license number 0C32223; resident state CA).  Scott has attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Fiduciary Institute 360.  He has also earned the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM, or CRPS®, certification by meeting rigorous professional standards and passing a comprehensive examination from the College for Financial Planning. Scott has the title of Institutional Plan Fiduciary Consultant which recognizes a select group of advisors that consult to larger employer retirement plans. 

Scott began his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers in downtown Los Angeles in 1991.   Shortly thereafter, he was part of the Shearson division that was sold to Travelers Group to form what was eventually known as Smith Barney.  In 1996, Scott moved back to San Diego to be closer to his family and worked out of the UTC Smith Barney office. In 2007, Scott joined Wachovia Securities in Del Mar, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, to be able to focus on consulting- based solutions for his clients. Scott has been recognized as a Platinum Council Advisor from 2013 to 2024.  The Platinum Council distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by business production from the previous year and professionalism.

Scott and his wife Katie live in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego with their daughters Kylie and Avery. Scott loves spending time with his girls whether it is family barbecue dinners, kids’ soccer games, a Padres game or a weekend morning out to breakfast. Outside of family time, Scott enjoys golf, college football and college basketball.

Ani joined the Sutherland Retirement Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in October 2021 as a Wealth Client Performance Analytics Consultant.  Prior to joining the group, she was a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and has been working in the financial services industry for over 10 years.

Ani holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations as well as a California Insurance License (insurance licensed in CA, license number 0M26084; resident state CA).

She helps our retirement plan clients meet their fiduciary requirements by gathering and providing detailed information for the retirement plan committee’s review.  She conducts thorough research on the Plan’s investment options, their historical performance and outlook based on market trends. The clients are able to use this information to develop complete due diligence reports including data on investment options such as fund performance, fund expenses, revenue sharing, style consistency and manager tenure.   Ani attends committee meetings and provides a summary that clients can use to compile their meeting minutes for the plan sponsor’s fiduciary file.

Ani was born and raised in India and earned her Master’s Degree in Finance and Marketing. She moved to California in 2007 and has been living in San Diego since mid-2021. In her leisure time, she loves spending time with family and friends, cooking and trying out new cuisines. Her hobbies include gardening and upcycling old furniture.

Geoff joined the Sutherland Retirement Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in October 2022 as a Senior Registered Client Associate.  Prior to joining the group, he was a Branch Manager at RemoteLink Solutions, an Operations Manager at Ameriprise Financial and has been working in the financial services industry for over 15 years.

Geoff holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations as well as a California Insurance License (insurance licensed in CA, license number 0G41121; resident state of CA).

He uses his industry experience to provide high-level customer service on a daily basis through new account opening, managing the transfer of assets, money movement requests, trade orders, day-to-day client and participant transactions and/or any other administrative requests.  Geoff takes pride in his role as Senior Registered Client Associate and helps ensure each client that they have a reliable and efficient resource working on their behalf.

Geoff was born and raised in Massachusetts.  He attended the University of Miami for a year to study Engineering before transferring to the University of Massachusetts to earn a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing.  Upon graduation, he drove across the country to pursue a change of scenery in San Diego.  In his free time he enjoys playing golf & soccer, watching college football as well as traveling and camping throughout California.
