Neil Canell

Neil possesses a pursuit of professional excellence, demonstrated by his recent recognition as a J.P. Morgan Chairman's Award honoree in 2022. He believes this is a testament to his exemplary leadership, collaboration, client engagement and community partnership. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Neil offered his clients a boutique advisory environment with distinctive services available at J.P. Morgan. He leans into a wide breadth of industry-leading resources to help clients pursue their individualized financial goals. He received his B.A. from Lehigh University in 1989 and is FINRA Series 7, 31 and 63 securities registered.
A resident of Purchase, New York, Neil and his wife, Loren, have three children, Jordan, Charlie and Harper. He is an Advisory Board Member of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a member of the Foundation Board of White Plains Hospital.
Neil is also a founding board member of Summer Camp Opportunities to Promote Education (SCOPE), a nonprofit organization that provides children from underserved communities with life-changing opportunities through the experience of summer camp. Neil recently received the 2023 Ben Appelbaum Advocates for Youth Award in recognition of his work with SCOPE. Additionally, in April of 2024, Neil and his brother, Jay, were recognized by Lehigh University for their longstanding generosity and support towards the Men's Lacrosse Team, as evidenced by the naming of the Lehigh Men's Lacrosse Suite in their honor.
Additional leadership roles in the community include board membership for My Money Workshop, The Pediatric Cancer Foundation, where he was honored in 2017 as Co-Person of The Year, and The Athletes vs. Crohn's & Colitis Organization where he is also a founding board member. Additionally, Neil serves on the board of Harrison's Varsity Lacrosse and Harrison's Youth Lacrosse (HYL) program. The below awards have been received by Neil throughout his career.

In addition to investment management, Jay helps clients address their broader financial needs by offering strategies for wealth planning, retirement income, and risk management. Recognizing the importance of access to liquidity, he also facilitates mortgages, debt refinancing, HELOCs, and other lending solutions. Jay’s comprehensive approach allows him to deliver tailored strategies that evolve with each client’s life stage, priorities, and goals. Over the years, The Canell Group of Wells Fargo Advisors has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to exceptional client service, disciplined investment strategies, and comprehensive wealth management guidance. Jay holds FINRA Series 7, and 63 securities registrations.
Philanthropy has always been a priority for Jay. He serves as a board member of The Falk College of Sport at Syracuse University and is a founding board member of SCOPE, a nonprofit organization that sends underserved children to summer camp. *In 2023, Jay received the Ben Appelbaum Advocates for Youth Award in recognition of his longstanding work with SCOPE. His additional board memberships include *The Pediatric Cancer Foundation—where he was honored in 2017 as Co-Person of the Year—My Money Workshop, and The Athletes vs. Crohn’s & Colitis Organization. Finally, Jay serves on the Foundation Board of White Plains Hospital in Westchester County, New York.
In 1989, Jay earned his B.A. in International Relations from Lehigh University, where he was a four-year lettered athlete on the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse Team. In April of 2024, Jay and his brother Neil were recognized by Lehigh University for their enduring generosity and support of the Men’s Lacrosse Team, commemorated by the naming of the Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse Suite in their honor.

Justin views his role as that of a trusted advisor to help address the sophisticated complexities that often accompany significant assets. He takes a thoughtful approach to wealth management, and focuses on three critical deliverables—investment consulting, advanced planning and relationship management—to increase the likelihood that clients are positioned to pursue their unique and meaningful asset management objectives.
Through attentive investment consulting, Justin helps direct the entirety of a client's assets toward the realization of individualized financial goals. He uses advanced planning strategies to care for investments in a tax-efficient manner. Justin helps enhance existing capital through the creation of tailored roadmaps that attend to cash flow requirements. He assists clients with generational wealth transfer strategies that reflect their wish-based aspirations.
Justin works with clients to preserve their overall investment portfolios through the careful diversification away from concentrated positions and the application of risk mitigation techniques, legal structures and insurance products. He builds effective philanthropic strategies to help capitalize on gifting opportunities. Justin's seamless coordination alongside clients' accountants, lawyers and other professional advisors enables him to facilitate these relationships and ensure that the entirety of each financial picture is considered.

Applying a rigorous and consultative discovery process, Justin employs a series of 70+ questions to discuss seven major areas of a client's financial life and arrive at an in-depth understanding of their specific values, concerns and desires. From these inputs, he develops a detailed and comprehensive investment plan that contains an analysis of the client's current scenario, a description of personalized wealth management goals and recommendations for strategies that address the client's needs. This process serves as the financial foundation upon which these ideas can be leveraged and grown. By reviewing changes in personal situations and market conditions, he remains poised to help manage each client's investment well-being and adjust portfolios positions as needed.
Always interested in a career in financial services, Justin graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. and joined Lehman Brothers in 1994. He has been with The Canell Group since 1995, delivering financial and wealth planning services at CIBC World Markets/Oppenheimer, UBS and Morgan Stanley. He transitioned with his team to J.P. Morgan in 2017. Today, he looks forward to providing clients with the personal touch of a small boutique setting coupled with the global reach and renowned investment platform of Wells Fargo Advisors.
A native of Long Island, Justin lives in Westport, Connecticut, with his wife, Alison, and their twins, Tyler and Riley. He is active in his community and volunteers with the Westport Basketball Association and PAL Lacrosse organization. When not in the office, he attends sporting events and live music performances, savors great food and wine, and enjoys skiing with his family.

Jake provides access to a broad suite of services—from trust and estate planning strategies, college funding, retirement vehicles and philanthropy to private banking offerings such as credit, lending and mortgages. Whether clients seek asset appreciation, income generation or capital preservation, he leverages the full capabilities of Wells Fargo Advisors to help realize their goals.
Jake has worked extensively with sports figures and is well versed in the need to design strategies that help optimize the value of a time-sensitive profession. He is proficient in managing investments for Retirement Compensation Arrangement (RCA) trusts, which help lower tax exposure for American athletes working in Canada. This capability is especially advantageous for players in the MLS, MLB, NHL and NBA.
In 2021, The Canell Group was named a Barron's Top 100 Private Wealth Management Team. Jake has been recognized by Forbes multiple times: in 2021 as a Best In State Advisor and in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, Jake was recognized by Forbes as Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors.
Growing up in a business-focused family, Jake was exposed at an early age to the need for sound Investment planning. He set his sights on a career in wealth management and attended the University of Connecticut, where he earned a B.A. in Economics. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, he brought his talents to J.P. Morgan, the New York Yankees, IMG and Monarch Business & Wealth Management.
Jake resides in Armonk, NY with his wife Kate and their three kids, Abigail, Harrison, and Olivia.

He provides access to the firm's wide array of products and services—trust and estate strategies, philanthropy ideas, pension plans, alternative investments, and lending and credit offerings—to help holistically care for the totality of each client's needs.
Drawn to Wall Street at a young age, Ben earned a B.S. in Finance at Lehigh University and started his career at J.P. Morgan. Committed to giving back, he has served as a mentor for the Bigs and Littles NYC organization, helping underprivileged high school students with financial literacy and college planning. Ben has also been an active member of the Wall Street Council for Lehigh's Business School since graduation.
Ben is an avid golfer, enjoys traveling, and loves spending time with his family and friends. He currently resides in New York City with his wife, Brianna, their children, Zachary & Romy, and their dog, Jax.

Danny believes one of the most important steps in wealth management is to perform a comprehensive analysis in order to determine an optimal financial direction. He helps clients evaluate their most suitable asset allocation and then select investments that are consistent with their risk profile and objectives.
Before joining Wells Fargo, Danny was a financial advisor at J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch. Previously, he worked at AXA Advisors, where he received firm recognition for his exemplary style.
Danny grew up in New Rochelle, NY and graduated from the University of Delaware in 2018 with a major in Finance. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses as well as Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses.
Now living on the Upper West Side in New York City, Danny enjoys the restaurant scene, watching baseball and playing golf.

With over 20 years of experience amid the fast pace of financial services, Adam possesses deep insights into a broad range of wealth management products and strategies across all major asset classes. He serves as the primary liaison provides access to mutual fund and money management investments, and coordinates the team’s syndicate offerings through Wells Fargo Bank N.A. and affiliates. He assists with portfolio construction and reviews new assets to determine they are being properly invested.
Adam draws on his interpersonal skills to build relationships with external associates and navigate across key business units within the firm. He studies account performance and develops tailored reports for the group's high-net-worth clients. He is deeply involved in addressing client service inquiries regarding confirmations, investment questions and online accounts, and has a reputation for conveying information in a simple and concise manner.
Leveraging his strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Adam earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Hofstra University. He began his career in financial services at Paine Webber in 2000, where he joined The Canell Group. He moved with his team to Morgan Stanley in 2006 and transitioned to J.P. Morgan in 2017.
Client Performance Analyst

Vital to the success of the team, Lisa is the main point of contact for key customer relationships and is deeply involved in coverage responsibilities. She draws on her skills in the area of financial service support to address account balance inquiries and provide guidance for IRA distributions, journal entries, and fund and wire transfers.
With a reputation as a problem solver, Lisa develops methods and procedures that focus on critical functions to help ensure the efficient and consistent delivery of excellent customer service. She oversees sales support initiatives, and the team looks to her for issue resolution and logistical direction. She manages day-to-day activities in a steady and experienced manner.
Lisa joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2024 together with The Canell Group. Previously, she was with J.P. Morgan for 7 years and Morgan Stanley for 35 years before that, where she worked her way up the corporate ladder from Client Service Associate to Group Director. Throughout her career, she has strived diligently to develop the capabilities that carefully address individual client needs. She is proud to hold FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Lisa resides in Howard Beach with her two children, Anthony and Nicole.

Angela graduated from Pace University with a B.S. in Finance. She began her career in 1992 at First Manhattan Company as a Sales Assistant. Angela then moved to J.P. Morgan, where throughout her career she supported Sales and Trading desks in the Investment Bank, Private Bank and JPMA. She joined Wells Fargo in 2024.
She holds FINRA Series 7, 66 and 63 securities licenses.
Angela resides on the Upper East side of Manhattan. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

She is instrumental in facilitating the customer onboarding process, day-to-day account maintenance, wire transfers, journal entries and fund requests. She is responsible for functions across the team's multifaceted business, and directly interfaces with other Wells Fargo Advisors departments to help ensure the successful implementation of appropriate accounts.
After earning a B.S. from Rutgers University, Rana began her career with J.P. Morgan in 2017. There, she gained exposure to financial modeling, international stocks and fixed income vehicles while building strong relationship management skills. Rana joined The Canell Group in 2020 and plays a crucial role in the clients’ success.

Josh graduated from The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a B.S. in Finance. He recently joined The Canell Group during the summer of 2023. Josh has previous investment banking experience, interning for Brookline Capital Markets in 2022.
He is currently in the midst of obtaining his FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Prior to joining the Canell Group in 2024, Austin gained valuable experience through multiple internships in the financial services industry where he learned fundamental and technical valuation analysis and high-level execution strategies. Austin currently helps to oversee our Wells Fargo banking products as well as The Canell Groups marketing efforts.
Austin is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate.
Austin is from Short Hills, NJ, and will be moving into New York City in 2024. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities (hiking, biking, and skiing), spending time with friends and family, and following and discussing world events. He is an active participant in community service initiatives and won a high school state championship in Soccer.

Originally from Westchester, NY, Charlie plans to move to New York City in 2026. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, cooking, traveling, trying new foods, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. He also serves as a Junior Board Member of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, reflecting his commitment to giving back.
