With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Tonya helps her clients plan for major life events such as planning for their retirement, developing estate planning strategies, wealth transference, and much more. She has experience in helping clients navigate the complexities of investing using investment planning strategies designed to help you manage your wealth. Additionally, she is able to refer her clients to specialists at Wells Fargo Private Bank who provide discretionary investment management, private banking, trust, estate settlement and administration services, credit, and integrated wealth management services.
Tonya was recognized as a Premier Advisor at the firm every year from 2012-2016, and was recognized again in both 2019 and 2020.* She is an accomplished public speaker and has been invited to speak at Barron’s Diversity Summit and 100 Black Men of America events. She also educates students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities about opportunities within the financial services industry. She currently serves on the Diversity and Inclusion work stream at the firm.
Tonya earned a Bachelor of Science in Business degree at Southern University, Baton Rouge and holds the Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM (AAMS®) professional designation.
A life-long resident of Lake Charles, LA, Tonya raised two children – Courtney, who now works alongside her, and Maurice, who also works in the financial industry – with her husband, Maurice, Sr., a 34-year veteran of the petrochemical industry. Together, Tonya and her husband enjoy scuba diving, biking, skydiving, motorcycling, boating, and traveling. She volunteers her time and talent to the United Way of Southwest Louisiana.

In her role on the Griffith Financial Group, Courtney manages the client/advisor relationship and delivers enhanced services to deepen client relationships, in addition to providing financial advice consistent with clients' goals and risk tolerance. This includes meeting with clients and assessing client investment profiles and evaluating their evolving investment needs during different life phases.
Courtney earned a bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University, Lake Charles Louisiana.
Away from the office, Courtney volunteers her time and talent for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana and Teen Connection of Lake Charles, LA. She enjoys motorcycling, biking, scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, reading, sports, and volunteering. Courtney has a beautiful German Shepherd who is loved by the nursing home residents she and her mother visit together.
