My name is Greg Pienkosz, Managing Director – Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors. I am the lead advisor for the Pienkosz Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, with more than two decades of experience. Our team emphasizes guiding individuals, families, and business owners by helping them achieve financial success during the working and retirement distribution phases of their lives.
Focus:
I am a Private Investment Manager (PIM®)1 with offices in Albany, NY and Orlando, FL where I provide our clients with investment planning and modern portfolio management.
As a PIM® Portfolio Manager I take a customized approach to investment management, where I design and monitor client portfolios based on an active approach to asset allocation. I make investment decisions on our client’s behalf to reach their financial objectives. I focus on long-term portfolio management, combining diversification, while managing underlying investments costs. I have the flexibility to build and maintain a portfolio using a broad selection of investments enabling me to maintain a high level of professional services and offer personal attention to our clients who seek this type of investment management.
As a Financial Advisor there is no greater privilege than being entrusted to help manage our clients’ financial wellbeing and prosperity. At the Pienkosz Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, not only do we utilize the entirety of Wells Fargo Advisors we also leverage our nine wealth disciplines, that we designed through our years of experience, to help bridge the entirety of our clients’ lives.

Ultimately, our investment planning processes, combined with our wealth management capabilities, becomes the cornerstone for everything we help undertake on behalf of our clients, during their lifetime and beyond!
Experience:
I attended the University at Albany where I graduated with honors and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University at Albany and I also completed the financial planning program at New York University.
I completed my Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) certification by meeting rigorous education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements. The CFP designation enables me to take a comprehensive approach to meeting clients financial needs in the planning process, which helps align financial strategies with their desired outcomes.
I also earned my Sports and Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor designation (SE-AWMA™). This designation encompasses proficiency in the delivery of holistic wealth– servicing experiences, fine-tuned to address the unique and often complex needs of high net worth sports and entertainment professionals.
I have been fortunate to be named a Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council member since 2018 (2018 – 2024). The Platinum Council distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by one or more of the following: completion of educational components, business production from the previous year, and professionalism. Additional consideration may have included best practices and team structure.
Away from the Office:
Born in Poland, the youngest of three, my family immigrated to Connecticut in 1975 when I was three months old. After high school, I was a Sergeant, a paratrooper, and a Black Hawk helicopter crew chief in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. While serving, I received multiple Army commendation and achievement medals.
My wife and I have been married for over 24 years and we have 2 daughters. We enjoy traveling to soak up the sun in Florida and embracing the snow in Upstate New York.
