Comprehensive Investment Planning
Making sure your wealth continues to work in support of the goals you have established takes careful planning. Such planning is not a single event. It is a process. As your life circumstances change, so must the investment strategies we use to stay on course toward meeting your objectives. That is why we work with you, one on one, to design investment strategies targeted to your specific needs and goals.
Investment Process
You’ll receive tools and support to develop a detailed inventory of all of your financial assets so you can find out exactly where you stand. This evaluation puts your total securities portfolio in perspective by providing you with such things as current price, profit or loss, income, and current yield on items held in your portfolio. We will help evaluate whether certain estate planning techniques — such as a trust — are appropriate for your individual circumstances. We will use a team approach to coordinate estate planning with you and your attorney. Any investment strategy, no matter how well-designed, is of little value unless it is implemented and maintained. We will help ensure that your investment plan is put into action and that it is coordinated with your attorneys and accountants.
The foundation of our investment process is the Fundamental Choice portfolio management advisory program. The Fundamental Choice program has been developed to combine the collective insight of Wells Fargo Investment Institute and our correspondent firm’s market strategy, fundamental and quantitative analysis, and individual recommendations to create the parameters for investment portfolios. Having access to vast array of investment options, make it possible for these portfolios to be tailored to individual investor’s risk profiles (moderate, moderately aggressive, and aggressive). When working with the portfolio manager through the Fundamental Choice program, you gain several potential advantages. First, you don’t have to bring a third-party portfolio manager “up to speed” on your investment objectives – Jon and Craig are your Portfolio Managers. Second, each Financial Advisor must be certified by the firm to work with clients through the Fundamental Choice program. The criteria for certification include a mix of experience and education. Finally, the annual account fee is based on your account size rather than traditional trade-based commission charges (billed quarterly in advance)

Fees of the Fundamental Choice program include Advisory services, performance measurement, transaction costs, custody services and trading. Fees are based on the assets in the account and are assessed quarterly. Advisory accounts are not designed for excessively traded or inactive accounts and may not be appropriate for all investors. During periods of lower trading activity, your costs might be lower if our compensation were based on commissions. Please carefully review the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network advisory disclosure document for a full description of our services, including fees and expenses. The minimum account size for this program is $50,000.
Wells Fargo Investment Institute, Inc. is a registered investment adviser and wholly-owned subsidiary of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., a bank affiliate of Wells Fargo & Company.
As each Fundamental Choice program account is individually managed, construction and ongoing management of portfolios may vary from those discussed in this Philosophy Statement.
