I was born in Montana and grew up in a small farming community in Montana, the youngest of four children. My parents had been farmers, but changed careers and became small business owners when I was a toddler, running a grocery store in Denton. I went to college at Montana State, completed my MBA through the University of Montana, so I can legally claim that I am both a Bobcat and a Griz fan! (Although when it comes to Cat-Griz football, I still bleed blue and gold.) My passions would include wine tasting, white water rafting, golf, and I would have to say my greatest passion (other than my family and two grandsons, Kasen and Colton!) is animal welfare. I have always loved cats, horses and dogs, pretty much in that order. I still live and recreate under the Big Sky. I have two beautiful, talented, successful daughters, both of whom I pretty much raised as a single parent since 1989. Jaymee, an honors grad from Washington State, currently is a free-lance social media consultant, and Heather, also an honors grad from Washington State, is Mom extraordinaire and Director, Global Campaign--for Amazon at their Seattle headquarters, where she oversees teams in NYC, London, Paris, and Tokyo. I believe in giving back. I served six years on the National Council of Kappa Delta Sorority as National Vice President, Finance, and recently served for eight years as the Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee for Montana State University Foundation. I have also served on various National Committees for Kappa Delta Sorority and the National Panhellenic Conference. I recently served on the Board for the United Way of Cascade County, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Great Falls Animal Foundation.
