Background and experienceWith over 30 years’ experience in the investment industry, Bill has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. As a Senior PIM Portfolio Manager for advisory clients, Bill oversees the selection, implementation, and monitoring of specific investment strategies to help clients build, manage, preserve, and transition their wealth.
Growing up with his father in the investment industry, Bill knew that someday he would like to follow in his father’s footsteps. While earning his bachelor’s degree at the University of New Mexico, upon graduation he promptly began his journey.
Bill began his career in 1992 as a Financial Advisor with Kemper Securities in Lakewood, CO, where he developed his fundamental investment knowledge. He joined A.G. Edwards & Sons in 1993, which later was acquired by Wachovia Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2002, desiring to take a team approach in providing personalized financial advice for individuals and families, Bill teamed up with his father, William E. Werley, Sr., who began his investment career in the spring of 1968.
2010-2014, Bill became a Portfolio Manager within the Fundamental Choice program, which is a customized advisor portfolio program that utilizes active asset allocation management. Bill’s passion for learning doesn’t end there. In 2014, Bill earned the designation Private Investment Management (PIM) Portfolio Manager, only later to become a Senior PIM Portfolio manager in 2020, where he offers customized portfolio management geared toward your specific investment goals.
Away from the officeBill spends his free time with his wife, Lisa, and their three children. As native Coloradans, they enjoy traveling between Colorado and Harlingen, TX, while enjoying golf, tennis, skiing and other outdoor activities.
