Background and experience

For more than 40 years, I have been dedicated to helping a select group of individuals, families, businesses and institutions to build, manage and transition their wealth. My true passion is engaging with clients who have worked hard their entire lives to create wealth and helping them preserve it for today and for future generations.

I take a comprehensive approach to investment planning and examine every element of a client’s financial life, including debt management, cash reserves, insurance, estate planning strategies, investment planning and tax implications. This involves working with my clients’ CPA and attorney as needed to help ensure a coordinated effort in serving clients.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Private Investment Management (PIM) portfolio manager. The CFP® certification identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board and have successfully completed coursework on financial topics in the following areas: general principles of financial strategies, insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, and retirement and estate planning strategies. As a (PIM) portfolio manager, I am a member of a select group of advisors who are qualified to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis.  Prior to joining the financial services industry Ed attended Baylor University and Belmont University and received a BBA in Accounting.

Background and experience
I have had the privilege of serving as a financial advisor to a select group of families, individuals, and institutions since 2008 and have learned that while clients have unique individual circumstances that dictate their approach to investing, everyone wants the same end result – clarity and confidence. My approach seeks first to understand my clients’ current situation, concerns, risk tolerance, and financial priorities.  I then use this information to develop a comprehensive investment plan and investment recommendations.
I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR®, a Certified Exit Planning Advisor®, and a Private Investment Management (PIM) portfolio manager. The Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification is an advanced professional certification for advisors who provide the breadth of specialized skills required to meet the needs of high-net-worth clients. A Certified Exit Planning Advisor focuses on helping business owners build more valuable companies, develop stronger financial plans, and align their personal goals in order to better equip owners for an eventual business transition. As a (PIM) portfolio manager, I am a member of a select group of advisors who are qualified to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis. Prior to joining the financial services industry, I attended the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and earned a BBA in Accounting.
