Overview
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Will Anderson serves a select group of individuals, families, and business owners—helping them build, manage, preserve, and transition their wealth. As a Financial Advisor, Will provides guidance rooted in the fiduciary standard of care. He is committed to helping clients make informed, timely decisions that align with their long-term financial goals and aspirations.
Background & Experience
Will began his career as a Regional Lending Officer at Merrill Lynch in Jacksonville, FL, where he formed a deep appreciation for developing strong client relationships and exceptional service. In 2005, he relocated with his family to Richmond VA, joining Wells Fargo Advisors as the Business Strategy Manager for Banking Services. It was during this time that he met one of his future team members, John Taylor.
In 2008, Will transitioned into a client and advisor facing role as the Regional Banking Consultant for the Virginia Region, where he advised clients on lending strategies. During this period, he also met two other future team members David Mathews and Taylor Waller—both now retired.
Before becoming a client facing advisor in 2022, Will held several key leadership roles within the firm. He served as a Productivity Consultant for the DC/MD/VA region for over a decade and later as the Divisional Productivity Manager for the Eastern Region, where he coached, trained and mentored financial advisors. His expertise spans the core pillars of wealth management: goal planning, investment strategies, banking and lending solutions, trust and estate planning services, and risk management.
Having worked with hundreds of clients, advisors, and firm leaders over the years, Will believes that true understanding begins by listening and seeking to understand a client’s needs, goals, and values is the foundation of effective financial guidance. Today, he and the Taylor/Anderson/Waller Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors are proud to extend their services to both new and existing clients.
