Sherman was raised on a family farm near Huron. A graduate of Huron High School, Sherman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from South Dakota State University. Following graduation in 1992, Sherman began his financial career as an Investment broker with A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc. He became Co-Branch Manager in 2002 and continues to serve as Branch Manager.
Sherman’s client relationships feature on investment planning and reviews as needed to help meet goals today and into the future. His focus is to provide a well-rounded, encompassing investment plan for all aspects of life.
Sherman became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2007 and served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. in Washington, DC. He is also active in many community organizations.
Married to Deena, the couple has five children; Reagan, Connor, Trent, Bree and Brynn. Sherman and Deena enjoy following and supporting their kids in their many activities.
Steve grew up in Aberdeen working for his family’s retail clothing store and commercial property business. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northern State University, Steve began his career as a Financial Advisor over 20 years ago and retains his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL™ certification.
Through a long-term investment approach, Steve helps clients develop and implement strategies for realizing their goals. His pledge to provide objective, timely financial advice and guidance, paired with the highest level of professional service, assists his clients and their families to build and preserve wealth.
Believing helping your community prosper is everyone’s responsibility, Steve is currently President of the Huron Community Foundation and the Huron Community Development Fund. He is a past president of the Huron Chamber of Commerce, Greater Huron Development Corporation and the Huron University Foundation.
Away from the office, Steve enjoys spending time with wife, Kris, and children, Madisyn, Riley, Payson, and Marty. In addition to hunting and camping, Steve actively supports and coaches his children’s sporting activities.
Born and raised in Huron, Susan refined her solid work ethic at a young age, helping with the family business, the Traveler Motel. Susan entered the financial services industry in 1987 and has earned an Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM certification.
Attention to detail is the hallmark of Susan’s client relationships. Susan dedicates herself to work closely with each client to build a plan focused on their specific goals and unique situations.
Susan’s strong community commitment is evident as a board member for The Center for Independence Foundation, Huron Community Campus and The Salvation Army. She is also involved with Xi Beta Sorority, Windriders Abate, and enjoys serving as a partner in business with the Kindergarten Special Education Class.
In addition to paddle boarding and relaxing at their Lake Byron cabin, Susan enjoys time with her family, including husband, Jim; sons, Ty and Cole; and granddaughter, Salena. She enjoys attending local events, especially car races.
Raised on a family farm north of Clark, Annette is a graduate of Clark High School and Presentation College. She spent 12 years living in Iowa, moving to Huron in 2000. After 20 years in the medical field, she joined our company as a client associate in 2011.
Annette’s motto is, “Every new sunrise brings new opportunities to brighten someone’s day.” One of Annette’s activities is the Huron Area Community Theatre. She is a board member, has served as director, stage manager and assisted with several shows, including acting in the annual joint production with Huron Area Center for Independence. Her real passion is to help those who need it most. She is on the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and an avid volunteer for the American Red Cross. Volunteering with the American Red Cross she was deployed in 2020 to the California wildfires. A 2013 graduate of Leadership Huron, she is also involved with the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk in Huron.
Annette enjoys hiking, Geocaching and archery hunting with her adult sons, Matthew and Wesley. Annette also enjoys baking and volunteering.
