What is a CFP® Professional?

What is a CFP® Professional?

A Financial Advisor who has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional or CFP® Professional certification has demonstrated skill in analyzing and developing personal long-term financial strategies. He or she has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous planning courses and examinations offered by various colleges and universities across the country. These courses are then followed by a 10 hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

What a Financial Advisor who holds the CFP® can do for you

  • Take inventory of your total assets
You'll receive a detailed inventory of all of your financial assets so you can find out exactly where you stand.

  • Provide a review with you
This computerized evaluation puts your total securities portfolio in perspective by providing you with the current price, profit or loss, income, and current yield on items held in your portfolio.

  • Assist in wealth preservation
I will help evaluate whether certain wealth preservation techniques - such as a trust - are appropriate for your individual circumstances. I will use a team approach to coordinate wealth preservation with you and your attorney.

  • Coordinate the implementation of your plan
Any investment strategy, no matter how well designed, is of little value unless it is implemented and maintained. I will help ensure that your investment plan is put into action. We can coordinate with your attorneys and accountants on your behalf.
