Investment Process

When we formed Baird Financial Management, we chose to affiliate with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.  We believe it allows us to offer our clients the best of two worlds: the history and resources of one of the nation's largest financial services organizations combined with the personal attention and service we deliver as a small practice focused on your family's needs.

As a Financial Advisor and CFP® Professional, I am dedicated to putting your needs first - which means not only looking at your investment portfolio with a fresh perspective but also reviewing your investment plan with you to help ensure your investments are in line with your goals and objectives.

  • Will you be financially prepared for retirement?
  • How will your estate be distributed to your heirs?
  • How will changing tax laws affect your investments?
  • Will you be able to afford a high-quality education for your children or grandchildren?
Few people can answer these questions on their own with confidence. This is where a Financial Advisor can step in and assist. I will take the time to help you address all of your financial concerns so that you can focus on what's most important in your life. Together we can develop a well-designed investment plan that not only reflects your long-term goals and a comfortable level of risk but also serves as the foundation of our long-term relationship.

Wells Fargo Advisor's Envision® process, which uses a unique investment-planning process to estimate the likelihood that your strategy will support your preferred financial future, is an important tool we use to help us create the investment strategies for our clients. We first help you articulate and prioritize your family's goals. We analyze your financial circumstances and present you with advice and guidance aimed at helping you reach your goals. We help you understand the tradeoffs that may be necessary to meet more challenging goals and work with you to formulate a strategy to take you where you want to go. We then agree on an action plan and help you make the right investment choices from a wide spectrum of investment options. The Envision process continually reevaluates the likelihood you'll achieve your goals, and you can review the results. A review is an important part of our relationship, and it allows us to make adjustments as required to help keep you on track toward your goals.

IMPORTANT: The projections or other information generated by the Envision process regarding the likelihood of various investment outcomes are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Results may vary with each use and over time.

Based on accepted statistical methods, the Envision tool uses a simulation model to test your Ideal, Acceptable and Recommended Investment Plans. The simulation model uses assumptions about inflation, financial market returns and the relationships among these variables. These assumptions were derived from analysis of historical data. Using Monte Carlo simulation, the Envision tool simulates 1,000 different potential outcomes over a lifetime of investing varying historical risk, return, and correlation amongst the assets. Some of these scenarios will assume strong financial market returns, similar to the best periods of history for investors. Others will be similar to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.
