We believe inflation is the biggest threat to a fixed income portfolio over time. To help mitigate the impact of inflation, we use convertibles in the investment process to help capture potential rising corporate values and help the portfolio gravitate towards equity returns while seeking to achieve volatility similar to a traditional fixed income portfolio. We have three strategies that use convertible securities to help our clients pursue strong risk adjusted returns.
