Michael Blaustein
Managing Director - Investment OfficerMike has over 30 years of experience advising and managing fixed income and balanced investment portfolios for institutions, foundations, pensions, and individuals. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015, Mike worked for Barclays Wealth & Investment Management as an Investment Advisor Representative and at its predecessor, Lehman Brothers. While working on the institutional side at Lehman Brothers, he was responsible for allocating and managing capital for the global convertible securities business in US, Europe, and Asia as Co-head of Global Convertible Securities. During this time, he was also responsible for a $1bn portfolio of European and Asian convertible securities. Mike was hired by Lehman Brothers in 1996 to help develop the firm’s global convertible franchise. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mike worked for First Boston where he began his career in 1987.
Mike’s institutional and portfolio management background has been valuable in helping clients with capital allocation decisions, security selection, and general financial advice. As he has brought institutional thinking to the individual level, Mike has developed his client base which includes CEOs, CIOs, and Chairpersons of public and private companies. Mike’s core focus is to build separately managed accounts with potentially favorable risk/reward characteristics. His experience with and use of convertible securities within these portfolios can be a differentiating factor for his clients.
Mike is a graduate of Northwestern University with a BA in Economics and Political Science. He enjoys landscape architecture and playing squash. Mike lives with his wife Kira and their two daughters in New York City.
Thomas Gutterman
Financial AdvisorPreviously, Thomas was an Associate in the Private Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Division at Stifel Nicolaus. His team joined Stifel from Barclays Wealth & Investment Management. During his time at Barclays & Stifel, Thomas focused on creating and maintaining relationships with various endowments, pensions, foundations, fund of funds, and asset managers to fundraise for private equity funds that he and his team represented.
Prior to his role at Barclays/Stifel, Thomas was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley where he supported a sales team in portfolio and asset management. He supported clients and his team with research and participated in investment ideas. Thomas holds Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.
Thomas earned his BA in Economics from the University of Maryland – College Park. He currently lives in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan. He is an avid basketball player and fan, and is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He speaks fluent Hebrew and enjoys traveling the world on his time off.

Susan Quintyne
Senior Registered Client AssociateSusan began her financial services career at Alex Brown & Sons Inc. in 1991, where she worked on the short-term trading desk. She has accumulated over 30 years of industry experience.
Susan attended University of New Haven and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Outside of Wells Fargo Advisors, Susan commits significant time to community activities, including Susan G. Komen, American Heart Association, Habitat For Humanity NYC, and American Diabetes Association.
Susan lives in Queens with her husband Paul. She’s an avid gardener and has a passion for culinary and baking activities.
