Background and experience
With more than 30 years of experience in financial services—and over 16 of those as a Financial Advisor—I’ve had the privilege of helping people plan for and achieve their financial goals. Before stepping into the financial world, I held senior leadership roles in a Japanese-American joint venture in the automotive industry. That experience shaped my approach to strategic planning, problem-solving, and relationship building—skills I now use every day to support my clients.

During my time with the joint venture, I embraced the Japanese approach to service—emphasizing respect, attentiveness, and deep client care. These principles continue to shape how I work to build lasting relationships and deliver a premier level of service to the individuals and families I have the privilege to work with.

I earned a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Colorado Boulder, which included time studying abroad at the American University in Cairo. Later, I went on to earn a master’s in business from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona.

People often describe me as a patient listener who brings clarity and thoughtful solutions to the table. My areas of focus include retirement planning, estate planning strategies, college funding, wealth building, and preserving assets for the future. My team at The Brown & Taylor Financial Consulting Group of Wells Fargo Advisors is genuinely passionate about helping our clients—whether they’re navigating big life changes or simply have a quick question.

Away from the office
Beyond my professional life, I’m grateful to be part of a close-knit community in Indianapolis, where I live with my wife, Cathy, a writer. We’re blessed to have our two married children and three wonderful grandchildren nearby. Our family loves to travel together, with favorite spots including Europe, the Bahamas, and the American Southwest.

In my downtime, you’ll often find me on a golf course, exploring hiking trails, or hitting the road in our RV. I also enjoy being involved in leadership at our local church, which keeps me grounded and connected.

I’m proud to be part of a well-balanced team, where each of us brings something unique to the table. Together, we collaborate with intention and dedication to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients. Our philosophy is straightforward: trust the process and trust the plan. I encourage my clients to adopt this mindset—because with a thoughtful, well-crafted strategy, meaningful results will follow.

I entered the financial services industry after graduating from Indiana University in 2007. My journey began with roles at PNC Investments and Fifth Third Securities, and today, I serve as Managing Director-Investments and Senior Financial Advisor at The Brown & Taylor Financial Consulting Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. Throughout my career, I’ve remained passionate about problem-solving and building lasting relationships with my clients. New experiences and challenges continue to energize me.

My focus is on helping business owners with succession planning, estate and retirement strategies, and growing and transferring generational wealth. What I find most rewarding is seeing the real-world impact—families growing, thriving, and enjoying the confidence that comes from a solid financial foundation.

Our team takes great pride in consistent communication and follow-up. No question or concern is ever too small to address. I also always tell my clients, "Your wealth is only as good as the enjoyment you get from it." At the end of the day, it's about ensuring that their financial success translates into meaningful, fulfilling experiences.

Away from the office
When I’m not working, I enjoy golfing, watching or playing sports with my children and traveling with my family. I’m also actively involved in my local church and community recovery programs, which is something that’s very close to my heart.

My wife Amanda and I live in Westfield, Indiana, and we stay busy (and grateful) raising our four amazing children, Cara, Lincoln, Carter and Tucker.              

I began my financial career with Fifth Third Bank in 2010 and have been securities registered since 2012, holding FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 registrations. In 2024, I joined Wells Fargo Advisors alongside my team, continuing my commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.

I'm passionate about building strong, lasting relationships and helping clients navigate their financial goals with confidence and clarity.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Daniel May, and our daughter, Charlotte. I'm also a music enthusiast who plays guitar, banjo, and a variety of other instruments.
