E. Thomas McKee, MBA, CRPC

Financial Consultant

I want you to be comfortable with the investing process, not overwhelmed or intimidated. Clients often tell me I can make complex financial concepts easy to understand. I am a student of the history of the markets, and I constantly strive to better understand your needs so I can make the best possible recommendations for your situation. I start with your life and make your money work around it, not the other way around.
Tom Family

My family is always first.  I'm so proud of my wife and best friend, who is able to help so many patients as a Gastroenterologist.  Our daughter and the twins keep us on the run, they and my large extended family always being my first priority.  When I'm not in the office you'll probably find me outside checking on my fruit trees and berry bushes or testing my soil’s PH levels.  I’ve planted over 40 trees on our property trying to turn lawn back into woods.  I read a lot about afforestation, and the phrase that stuck with me is “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today.”  I love my compost pile, and I try to always keep gaining practical knowledge about nature and our world.

Board of Directors

I have served on the Board of Directors at the West Shore Chamber of Commerce and also in many leadership roles in the organization.  I’m currently on the Sunbury YMCA’s Board of Directors, where I’ve recently founded and lead the day care parents group.  I've been an active participant and volunteer in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for more than fifteen years.  I also participate in the 500 Men Reading initiative, which encourages students to excel in school and develop more interest in literature.

I try to live my life and raise my kids by three guiding principles.

1) Tell the truth.
2) When you're wrong, admit it and apologize.
3) It's never the wrong time to do the right thing.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Bloomsburg University where I was a two year letter winner in varsity football and a three time scholar-athlete award recipient.  I then studied at Lebanon Valley College, where I received my Masters in Business Administration while coaching NCAA football.  I stayed on for a total of ten years as a part-time offensive assistant working primarily with our quarterbacks and wide receivers.

Having been in the financial services industry for over fifteen years, I am responsible for reviewing individual investments for performance, risk and expense, as well as evaluating the building blocks of our investment strategies.  I hold the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Our profession is serious business.  But I don't take myself too seriously.  This life is short and I'll do everything I can to make your experience a positive one.
