Our Approach

Our relationship begins with trust and transparency. When we decide to take on a new client, we expect it to be a long term relationship and will treat it as such. One hundred percent of our new clients come from personal introductions and many of our relationships are multi-generational.

Our approach is educational and holistic, and we try to coordinate with other professional advisors whenever possible. Some of our clients prefer us to handle the investing decisions. Some have significant knowledge and look to us for guidance. Many are somewhere in the middle. We are proud of our capabilities to offer the approach that works best for you.

Meeting Us

  • We will take the time to get to know you and have you get to know us.  We will ask you about your goals, ideas and investing experience.  We welcome all of your questions.  We hope to meet your family.  We want to know about the things that are important to you.
  • We will explain our investing philosophies and the strategies we use to execute what's needed to work toward your goals.
  • From there, we'll see if there is a match. If not, it's no problem.  We don't try to be all things to all people.  If we both decide to work together, we'll gather more information and begin the process of moving forward.

Our Principles

Commitment to ongoing service

  • We believe trust and understanding are the cornerstones of a successful long-term advisor/client relationship.
  • We will conduct meetings to personally discuss your investments and financial situation.
  • We believe that understanding your specific needs, goals, and financial situation is critical to building a long-term strategy.
Goal-based planning approach

  • We will adjust your investment picture, if needed, as your goals change.
  • We believe, regardless of what is happening in the market - you do not have to take excessive risks to achieve your long-term goals.
  • We believe, where appropriate, a long-term investment strategy can help provide the flexibility you need to accommodate changes in your lifestyle, family situation, or career.
Investment selection

  • We believe the manager of your assets should have a philosophy and approach that is consistent with your long-term goals.
  • We believe selecting investments that are managed to help withstand market declines is one of the critical components of successful investing
  • While past performance does not guarantee future results, we believe the manager of your assets should have a history of generating consistent strategies through both good and bad markets.

  • More and more of our clients are choosing to align their investment strategies with personal values. We offer a broad array of options for you to invest in companies you believe in, avoid companies you don’t, and participate in strategies that aim to mitigate environmental, social and governance risks.
