    Matthew Rosen joined Burk, Hall & Co. in January 2012 after a five year professional golf career. Matt’s long time commitment to success in golf since age four has engrained process, dedication, and honesty with each client relationship. While golf has been a core piece of his entire life, investing has been a part of Matt’s life since childhood as well. Matt’s interest in investing started at a very young age when he would track his grandfather’s and father’s stocks in the newspaper each morning before school. Through education and experience, Matt carries an unbiased sense of clarity to objectively navigate changing markets for clients. Matt’s success allowed him to become a partner in the Burk, Hall & Co. in 2015.

    As a native Tucsonan, Matt’s extensive Tucson involvement currently includes Chairman of the Emerging Leaders Council and a Board Member of the Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce.  Previously Matt has been involved in Junior Achievement, El Rio Vecinos, JDRF, Empower Coalition, and the American Heart Association Red Tie Society. Away from office you will find Matt working on his golf game or cheering for his beloved Chicago Cubs. Matt and his wife Taya reside in Tucson with their son Thayer (affectionately nicknamed Chalupa) and dog Wrigley.

      William D. (Bill) Burk is a founding member and co-owner of Burk, Hall & Co. since its inception in 2005. Bill is a long time Tucsonan having attended Sam Hughes Elementary, Mansfield Jr. High and Tucson High School. Bill received his BA from DePauw University in 1981, and earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1984 and was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year, and the Arizona Bar in 2000. He is currently non-practicing. During his legal career Bill practiced oil and gas law in Texas for eight years before spending the next ten years living in the Middle East, Far East, and South America. During his time overseas, his responsibilities included handling legal matters and and negotiations with representatives of the host countries for several oil and gas companies . In 1999 Bill and his family returned to Tucson, where he began his career as a financial advisor. In 2005 Bill left UBS PaineWebber to form Burk, Hall & Co. with Thomas Hall. It is Bill's belief that independence from the larger brokerage firms allows the clients' interests to become the top priority.

      Bill and his wife Sarah are extremely proud of their three children. Sarah volunteers much of her free time to the local TRAK program (Therapeutic Ranch for Animals and Kids) where she cares for the animals and in her free time rides her horse Norman.  Their son Davis graduated from the Barrett Honor College at ASU with a masters in Aerospace Engineering and has started a career with Raytheon; Madeline recently graduated from the University of Arizona and is currently working in Dallas, Texas as an elementary school teacher and Lily has just started college at the University of Arizona.

      One of Bill's greatest passions is his career as a financial advisor. He dedicates unlimited energy pursuing his clients' financial goals. Away from the office, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and hiking or driving through remote areas of Arizona.

        Thomas Hall is a founding member and co-owner of Burk, Hall & Co. since its inception in early 2005. A graduate of Washington State University in 1976 with a BA in finance and insurance, Tom spent 23 years in the banking industry with several banks. Tom started his banking career as a bank officer trainee at the Bank of Everett in 1976. He held the positions of Senior Vice President and Director of Lending at Arizona Bank prior to making the conscious decision to take his banking, finance, and insurance background and embark on his career as a financial advisor with PaineWebber. In 2005 he left UBS PaineWebber and formed Burk, Hall & Co. with William D. Burk to provide a better relationship for his clients that was uninfluenced by the practices of large brokerage houses. 

        Tom moved to Arizona in 1979, and settled in Tucson in 1981. He and his wife Karen have been married for over 30 years, have two grown daughters, and two grandchildren. Tom is very involved in the community having been a member of several service oraganizations over the years. Currently he sits on the board of directors for St. Augustine Catholic High School and the Catholic Community Services Foundation. He has also served on the Community Food Bank's board of directors. Family, faith, and friends are his foundation. Tom is an avid reader, loves to travel, and play golf whenever possible.
        David Bevans

          Dave moved to Tucson with his family from Ann Arbor, Michigan when he was 12.  He quickly embraced the Southwest lifestyle and over the years became an avid horseman and outdoorsman.  Dave joined Burk, Hall & Co. in March 2018, and brings 35 years of experience and knowledge to the practice. Dave started his career at E.F. Hutton, became a Vice President and Trust Officer at First Interstate Bank, and then Bank of America. Prior to joining Burk, Hall & Co. Dave was a co-founder and partner at Presidio Group Wealth Management and served as both the Branch Manager and Senior Private Investment Manager.

          Dave has been involved with numerous charitable organizations over the years, including St Luke’s Home.  He presently serves on the Finance and chairs the Investment Committee of the United Way of Southern Arizona. He is involved in the Los Charros Del Desierto, the G Lazy T Ride, and enjoys hiking, bike riding, skiing and his dogs, two Labrador Retrievers. Dave has been married for over 33 years and is the proud father of two young men.  One son is practicing law in Phoenix and the other attends Boston College Law School.

          Laura McKneight

            Laura joined Burk, Hall & Co as our Client Service Assoicate in December 2017 and brings over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.  After graduating with degrees in Business Administration from Millikin University and MBA from the University of Illinois, she spent 20 years in Commercial Real Estate lending and bank management.  

            After taking a break from “corporate America” to raise two amazing children, Laura returned to the financial services industry in the area of marketing and Estate Plan processing in 2010. A recent transplant from the Chicago suburbs, Laura and her husband, Paul, look forward to calling Tucson their final home after several relocations in the Midwest and a few years in France.   

            Always looking for ways to stay busy, Laura enjoys volunteering with various organizations throughout Tucson, traveling with her family and baking.

            Jeremy T. Welch

            Jeremy is a native Texan who found a lifelong home in the high Sonoran desert at the base of the Catalina and Rincon mountain ranges. Jeremy joined Burk, Hall & Co. in October 2018 and brings over 20 years of training, education and experience to the firm.   Jeremy graduated from San Jacinto Christian Academy.  He received his BS from Troy University in 2012 and earned his MBA from Columbia Southern University in 2016.  Jeremy served in the United States Army as a Senior Chief Warrant Officer for over 20 years including seven deployments to austere environments and combat zones.  During his time in the Armed Forces Jeremy became fluent in French, earned four professional college degrees and called five different States home. 

            Jeremy and his wife Lindsay are blessed with three healthy children.  Their oldest daughter attends college at the University of North Texas where she is pursuing a degree in Public Relations and Journalism.  Their youngest daughter attends high school in the Vail School District and is chasing a golf scholarship opportunity upon her graduation. Their son attends elementary school and plays golf, soccer and baseball while training up their two Westie dogs, Murphy and Scout. 

            Jeremy can be found serving the Tucson community through his philanthropy and volunteerism.  He currently sits on the Emerging Leader’s Council at the Tucson Metro Chamber and serves as a Board Member for the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson.
