Meet the Team

Before becoming a Managing Director - Investments for the Coleman Dunleavy Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, Dennis earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of International Management. He holds life insurance licenses as well as Series 7 and 66 registrations.  In 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024 he was named one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors.*

Dennis has been advising clients for more than two decades focusing on comprehensive wealth management and helping people understand their retirement options.  “I am committed to helping families and businesses develop strategies to build and preserve wealth.  I am very fortunate to have found something I love to do that has such a meaningful impact on people’s lives.”

Dennis has served on the board of directors for Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary and Sea Island Habitat for Humanity. He lives in Charleston, SC with his wife, Kendra.  They have two children: Madison, who lives and works in Atlanta, and Mitchell, a student at High Point University.  Beyond the financial world, he is a golf and fishing enthusiast who immensely enjoys spending time and traveling with his family.

With more than thirty years in the financial services industry, my mission is to provide every client with targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio analysis – delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.

The Coleman Dunleavy Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses develop and implement strategies for building wealth and realizing their goals. We take great pride in developing an in-depth understanding of our clients’ unique needs, and working with their other personal advisors to create a customized investment plan for each individual client.

My extensive experience throughout major shifts in the markets enables me to help our clients structure balanced portfolios to address their specific financial needs.  Much of this experience was achieved working on the NASDAQ Trading Desk for Prudential Securities in Manhattan. I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Southern Connecticut State University.

My family and I relocated to Charleston in 2001 following sixteen years working in New York City. I live in Mount Pleasant with my wife Maureen and our two English Pointers. We have two adult children, Katherine, a Clemson University graduate, and Brian, a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.  Away from the office, I am an avid tennis player and am active in the local community.

Travis Burdette is a Financial Consultant for the Coleman Dunleavy Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in Charleston, SC.  Originally from West Virginia, Travis earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Marshall University in 2010.  Travis holds insurance licenses as well as FINRA Series 7, 66, 9, and 10 securities registrations.

Travis has 11 years of industry experience and has served in multiple roles providing support, advising clients, and most recently, as an assistant field support manager covering Wells Fargo Advisors in the state of South Carolina.  Travis is a key aspect of the team’s business development and practice management.  His experience in different areas allows him to implement systems and processes to help improve efficiency and the overall client experience. 

Travis and his wife, Laura, moved to Charleston in 2017.  They quickly fell in love with the active lifestyle that Charleston offers year round and are frequent beach-goers in the summer.  Travis and Laura live in Mt. Pleasant with their dog, a (giant) Golden Retriever-Great Pyrenees mix named Jack that they rescued in 2019.

Originally from the rolling hills of Roanoke, Virginia, Nicky Kitzerow earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University.  Nicky began her career in specialty retail services before transitioning to the financial services industry where she has 10 years of experience.  She is insurance licensed and holds her FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 registrations. 

As a Financial Consultant for the Coleman Dunleavy Wealth Management Group, Nicky focuses on relationship management, retirement planning, and diligently works to provide the highest level of service to our clients. 

Outside of the office, Nicky is a theater and music enthusiast and she moved to New York City to pursue that interest shortly after college.  As much as she loved the city, fond memories of summers in South Carolina and a love for southern hospitality brought her to Charleston.  She now lives on Johns Island with her husband Greg and their sons Ryan and Gain.  Together they enjoy spending their free time at the beach, skiing, and travelling.

Anne graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.  After spending 10 years with Wells Fargo Advisors between Norfolk, VA and Charlotte, NC, Anne moved to Mount Pleasant in 2018. She joined the Coleman Dunleavy team in early 2019 and holds her FINRA Series 7, and 66 registrations.   

Anne is a key team member when it comes to handling the day to day administration of accounts. Often the first point of contact, it’s her priority to proactively identify and resolve operational inquiries and concerns. “I enjoy working in the financial services industry, and in my role as a Senior Registered Client Associate, my goal is to establish and maintain relationships with clients while providing a high level of personal service.”

Originally from Pennsylvania, Anne and her husband David were attracted to the climate and outdoor activities that the Carolina’s have to offer. They live in Mt. Pleasant and together they have one daughter, Julia, who is a CPA in Virginia Beach. In her free time Anne enjoys skiing, swimming, and visiting with family and friends.

Alexa Cook is a Client Associate with an emphasis on marketing for the Coleman Dunleavy Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston, combining her creative eye and detail-oriented approach to deliver exceptional customer service.  Alexa is actively studying for her FINRA Securities Industry Essentials exam so she can continue to expand her role.

With her she brings over a decade of experience in the food and beverage industry where she worked in both upscale restaurants and country clubs.  There she was able to improve her communication skills and greatly expand her network.

Having grown up in Washington state, Alexa loves the outdoors. She adores animals, especially her own Lab-springer mix, Noah.  In her free time, Alexa will volunteer at the local pet shelter or spend time enjoying her other hobbies: traveling, snowboarding, music, and trying new restaurants with her friends.

Given her background and creative ability she will improve the team’s presence on the internet, assist with advertising, and coordinate client events.  As she continues to expand her role Alexa will prove to be another point of contact to help clients with the day-to-day administration of their accounts.
