Tod E. Wells, First Vice President – Financial Advisor is originally from Wood-Ridge, NJ and a 1992 graduate of Clemson University. He has worked in the investment and financial services industry for over 25 years helping clients build, manage, protect and transition their wealth.
Tod began his career in the financial services industry in 1992 at The Financial Group. Two years later he joined First Union as a Financial Advisor. During this time, he attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and transitioned to Merrill Lynch. In 2011, Tod rejoined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager. Tod holds principal, supervisory, insurance, and commodity certifications.
From 2019 – 2022, Tod has been named as a Platinum Council Advisor and Platinum Council Manager with Wells Fargo Advisors. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients. Tod has been married to his wife, Gina, since 1994 and they reside in Cornelius, NC along with their 2 sons. As an avid golfer, he is a passionate supporter of the First Tee of Charlotte.
