Chris Davis, Managing Director – Investments, began serving the investment and wealth management needs of his clients in 1981. Soon thereafter, he became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, one of the early adopters of this highly-regarded industry standard. Seeking to build a superior client service model, he founded Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors in 1991 and he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst's designation from the Investment Management Consultants Association in 1994. Chris has remained steadfast and client-focused through multiple industry mergers and market fluctuations. He has chosen to maintain his industry registrations with the firm that first gave him the opportunity to serve and help build, review, preserve and transition his clients' wealth.

Today, Chris's achievements have been recognized by Barron's and Forbes. A University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill economics graduate, Chris also completed a Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. An active member of his community, Chris was honored with the James C. Wheat, Jr. Award for outstanding community service.  Chris presently serves on the Fiduciary Committee of Wespath, administrator of retirement benefits for United Methodists ministers. He is an Honorary Board Member of the United Methodist Foundation of Western North Carolina, and previously served on the Charlotte NC nonprofit boards of VIA Health Partners and Aldersgate.

Chris and his wife, Robbie, live on a horse farm outside Davidson, NC. They enjoy camping with their dogs and horseback riding. Their son, Michael Davis, Vice President - Investments, is also a member of Davidson Wealth Management. He, his wife, Carrie, and their 3 children, live in Mooresville, NC. Their son, Preston, his wife Dorsett, and their 3 children live in High Point, NC.

Michael brings more than 15 years of experience to Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors and provides clients comprehensive wealth management expertise to help preserve and grow their wealth to pursue their goals and dreams.

Michael was introduced to the financial services industry by his father, Chris Davis, who educated him about the world of finance and investing at a very early age. Michael joined the team in 2006 after graduating from Western Carolina University. Michael's passion for portfolio management led him to attain his Private Investment Management (PIM) certification, a Wells Fargo Advisors' portfolio management designation. With a desire to better serve clients and further his education, Michael earned his CERTIFIED FUND SPECALIST™ designation.

Michael has experience working with clients in the area of holistic wealth management that includes investment selection, portfolio construction, and retirement planning. Michael leads Davidson Wealth Management’s investment strategy and is responsible for analysis, trading, and portfolio oversight. He also assists in the analysis and due diligence of external portfolio managers used at Davidson Wealth Management.

Tod E. Wells, First Vice President – Financial Advisor is originally from Wood-Ridge, NJ and a 1992 graduate of Clemson University. He has worked in the investment and financial services industry for over 25 years helping clients build, manage, protect and transition their wealth.

Tod began his career in the financial services industry in 1992 at The Financial Group. Two years later he joined First Union as a Financial Advisor. During this time, he attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and transitioned to Merrill Lynch. In 2011, Tod rejoined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager. Tod holds principal, supervisory, insurance, and commodity certifications.

Background and experience

I have worked in the financial services industry for 26 years. My previous experience has been working as a broker with institutional clients and trading the global markets for a hedge fund, including living in Hong Kong and Singapore. Spending 5 of those years, learning the Asian cultures, has given me a great appreciation for the diversity of cultures here and abroad. Today, my transition to wealth management guides individuals to reach their personal financial goals. My goal is to share my experiences and knowledge, one client at a time.

Community Engagement

Away from the office, I enjoy tennis, golf and traveling with my wife and 3 children. We live in Davidson, NC and enjoy the healthy living environment and the engaging community around us. As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lake Norman, we serve the community needs with my fellow members, supporting schools and building homes for Habitat for Humanity. Harriet graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Belk School of Business.  She earned her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation in 1998.  Harriet joined Davidson Wealth Management in 1991 and has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Harriet provides comprehensive retirement planning services for companies, including plan analysis, 401(k) plan implementation, enrollment meetings and investment analysis.  She also assists high net worth individuals and families with college planning, annuity analysis and multi-generational planning.  She provides a different service experience by taking a holistic approach to the wealth management process that helps clients preserve their wealth, understand their financial situation and pursue their goals and dreams.

Karen has a diverse background in the financial services industry and began her career in 1987.  Since joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 1995, she has served as a client service associate, an operations specialist, and a Financial Consultant.  Karen joined Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2003, where she has assisted the team with the development and design of internal operational processes and procedures. 

Karen has an innate passion to serve others, clients, the team members of Davidson Wealth Management, and the community.  Karen’s career has been ever evolving, from serving in operational and administrative duties to now meeting with clients and assisting with financial strategy reviews.  Karen also works closely with our clients and their outside professionals regarding estate matters.   

Karen and her husband Todd have three children. Molly, her husband Trent and their baby live in Sugar Mountain, NC. Garrett is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is employed at IONCON in Boone, NC. Grant, in high school, keeps them young with travel soccer and being a member the Sugar Mountain Ski Team.  When not in the office you may find Karen spending time with her family, hiking, refurbishing furniture, or reading.

Nick started his career as an operations specialist 20 years ago in New York. He has extensive experience in the financial industry and joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010. Nick is committed to providing our clients with outstanding service and serves as the lead member of client fulfillment at Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors.

Steven brings more than 25 years of diverse financial services experience to Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors, including consumer finance and more than a decade in the mortgage industry. Steven joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2014 and has a passion for listening to and assisting clients to reach their financial goals.

Steve holds the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ designation. He provides research for client reviews and assists with portfolio management and investment planning.

Steve lives in Davidson, NC and spends his free time golfing, reading about history and archeology.  Steve also enjoys travelling with his wife Kathy and son Benjamin and is passionate about all Boston sports teams.

Sherry started her career in financial services as a trader and joined the former Wachovia Securities in 2002. She has served as a Wells Fargo 401(k) distribution specialist, a Wells Fargo licensed financial specialist, and an independent financial advisor with Raymond James before joining Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019. Sherry currently provides service to our existing and prospective clients and provides business support to the Davidson Wealth Management Relationship Managers.

Sherry has two children: Alex, a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Nick, a student at Mallard Creek High School. Sherry spends her free time enjoying friends and family, and traveling.

It has always been Brent’s mission, both personally and professionally to be of service to others. He is honored to have the opportunity to serve our clients and help them build, manage, and protect their wealth so they can spend their time on what matters most to them.

Brent comes to Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors with extensive experience in key areas of wealth management. Starting his career at LPL Financial in 2009, he built a foundation on client service.  Before joining the Davidson Wealth Management team, Brent has collaborated with Wells Fargo Advisors, including our team, as an insurance and estate-planning consultant where he focused on providing sophisticated and unbiased risk management solutions for high-net-worth client families.  Brent is able to consult, design, and help implement complex investment planning strategies while simplifying the client experience.   

In 2016, Brent obtained a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning. This program is focused on retirement planning strategies for individuals and helping clients build a “road map to retirement”. While being well-versed in both retirement and insurance planning, he is aware those are only two of the areas of true holistic financial planning. He constantly seeks to collaborate with colleagues and leverage the vast resources available to Davidson Wealth Management clients to assure he encompasses holistic planning opportunities. 

Outside of the office, Brent’s life revolves around his wife and best friend Brooklin, and their daughter Harper. When they’re not at soccer or lacrosse practice, Brook and Brent stay active in volunteering at Levine Children’s Hospital. Having been NICU parents, they have seen and experienced the miracles Levine’s perform and try their best to give back.

Alex is a 2021 graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Finance. At Clemson he was a leader in his fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi.

Alex grew up in the financial services industry as his dad works for Janus Henderson Investors. Alex serves as both a client service associate and as internal support to his teammates.  Alex’s role is to assist in portfolio management and research of the Davidson Wealth Management FA Directed program known as Private Investment Management.  Alex provides research of individual companies as well as outside investment managers. He provides accounting and investment reports, as needed by clients and teammates.

Alex is driven. He has a passion for learning and looking at numbers. Often Alex is both first to arrive and the last leave the office. He is passionate about helping clients and teammates with investment insight. 

Alex enjoys golf and is an avid sports fan, especially all things Clemson.

Paola started her career in the banking serving as Financial Service Representative for Founders Federal Credit Union. Since joining Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2018, Paola has served as a Client Service Associate and helps to ensure that all the administrative needs associated with a client’s accounts are handled accurately and quickly. Paola also oversees day-to-day activities, including opening new accounts, updating existing account information, managing asset movements and answering questions regarding client’s statements. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cesar Vallejo Private University - Peru.

Paola resides in Pineville, NC.  When not in the office Paola enjoys swimming, taking Zumba classes or spending time outdoors.

Susan rejoined the work force a few years ago after taking 18 years off to raise her family.  In 2018, she began working in the financial services industry, serving in Client Relations.  Susan received a Bachelor degree in English from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.

Susan joined Davidson Wealth Management in July of 2019 and hit the ground running.  She is the primary contact for scheduling client meetings, confirming client appointments, providing meeting locations and directions.   In addition, she is tasked with keeping our team members on schedule for meetings as well.  Susan also assists in planning and executing client seminars and helps with day-to-day administrative duties of the team.

Susan’s charitable interests include Lydia’s Loft and Loaves and Fishers. 

Susan currently resides in Davidson with her husband, Brett and three children, Alex, Ellie and Davis.  Susan likes to work out regularly and play tennis whenever possible.

Lisa is a Senior Registered Client Associate who brings 24 years of financial services experience to Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors.  Lisa began her career with Wells Fargo Advisors in 1997 in Upstate New York and relocated to Huntersville, NC in 2011 to be close to her grown children.

Lisa joined Davidson Wealth Management in February of 2021.  She helps to ensure that all the administrative needs associated with client’s accounts are handled accurately and quickly.  Lisa also oversees day-to-day activities, including opening new accounts, updating existing account information, managing asset movements and answering questions regarding client’s statements.

Lisa currently resides in Huntersville, NC.  She has a daughter, Nicole, a son, Nathan and two grandchildren, Henry & Harper.  Away from the office, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her family and two dogs.

Linda McElroy has dedicated her career in financial services to helping shape and manage her clients' plans to help them build, manage, preserve, and transition wealth. She makes it her mission to understand the unique financial circumstances of each of her clients so that she can collaborate with them to develop tailored strategies that align with their personal goals and aspirations.

Linda is passionate about educating and empowering her clients to make informed decisions about their financial future. She is a lifelong learner who has earned a degree in Business and Economics from Lycoming College.  She obtained her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation in December 2020 and her Chartered Financial Consultant designation in July 2023. She has also held a variety of client service roles, including Registered Client Associate, Wealth Management Specialist, Financial Solutions Advisor, and Financial Consultant.

Family is important to Linda and she and her husband Thom reside in Cornelius, NC where they have a blended family of five young adult children: Megan, Geoffrey, Krystyna, Madison, and Mason. They are an adventurous couple with a love of travel, gardening, kayaking, playing with their dog (Apollo), and spending time with family and friends.
