Certified Financial Planner
A Financial Advisor who has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification has demonstrated skill in analyzing and developing personal, long-term financial strategies. A CFP® professional has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous courses and examinations offered by various colleges and universities across the country. These courses are then followed by a 10-hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
The qualification process, comprehensive array of advice, and skill-based approach distinguish CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) practitioners from other professional advisors, who typically focus on only one area of a client’s financial life.
