Nelson Patterson has 36 years of experience working as a Financial Advisor, helping hundreds of families reach their financial goals. Nelson’s life began in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1959. He graduated from West High School in 1977 and the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1981, earning a bachelor’s degree in communications. After graduation, Nelson gained work experience in the banking industry and in television advertising sales. He began his career with Edward Jones as a financial advisor in 1986, opening the first Edward Jones office in Tifton, Georgia.

Over the next 15 years, Nelson grew and sold his practice to move back home to East Tennessee. In late 2003, he rejoined Edward Jones in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, remaining with them till 2010 when he decided to transition to Wells Fargo Advisors. This move allowed more investment options for his clients. He holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation (AAMS^®) from the College of Financial Planning.

Nelson has been recognized as a Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council Member from 2012-2017 and 2019-2023. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. He has many various hobbies such as traveling, drawing, playing disc golf, photography, and table tennis. Collecting old comic books has been one of his lifelong pursuits. Creating and building various structures and homes are also a fun challenge. Nelson enjoys spending time at the health club with his wife of 40 years, Wendy. Being with their two children and their spouses and four grandchildren is one of his biggest passions.

Fascinated by martial arts and the dedication to reach a long-term goal, Ken earned his first martial art black belt in 2010. Ken sees the parallels in the discipline and planning it takes to be successful in martial arts to helping clients reach their financial goals. Ken is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about helping clients pursue their financial success through holistic planning.

After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Valdosta State University, Ken started his career in the financial services industry in 1997 with Wells Fargo bank in Albany, Georgia. He relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee in 2004. Ken spent nearly eight years with Merrill Lynch in Knoxville before moving back to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015. Ken assumed the additional leadership responsibilities of Branch Manager in 2017 and is currently Senior Vice President - Investments.

Ken is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Accredited Investment Fiduciary^® and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® practitioner. He believes these certifications represent a rare combination of distinctions within the wealth management industry.

Ken and his wife, Lucy, live in Knoxville, Tennessee. They enjoy spending their free time with friends and family, both on the golf course and the lake.

Don Morris helps his clients reach their financial goals with an emphasis on strategies pertaining to estate planning, retirement distribution and portfolio strategies.

Don has one son and lives in Maryville with his wife and animal companions Cody, Nicki & Gypsy. He is involved with kidney & donor organizations and volunteers for various animal organizations. He also enjoys tennis, scuba diving and magic.

I am a graduate of Cumberland College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.   Prior to my work as a Financial Advisor, I have 20 years’ experience as a successful business owner which has given me valuable insight to provide client advice.

My wife and I live in Oliver Springs and have 2 grown daughters.

Justin Paul (J.P.) Mackay has nearly two decades of financial experience, alongside his background of coming from a financial family. After helping his father do taxes at a young age, he found that assisting others in reducing their tax liability while getting to foster new relationships with clients made him a great fit for the financial advisor role. He has always been passionate about investment education and making financial advising accessible and understandable to his clients while helping them meet their financial goals.

J.P. holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Middle Tennessee State University. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, as well as the CIMA^® and ChFC^® designations to help ensure he is providing his clients with the resources they need to help meet their goals.

Outside work, J.P. promotes and supports Remote Area Medical and the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Research Foundation, in honor of his mother. He also serves as the announcer and supporter of the Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey. J.P. lives in West Hills neighborhood of Knoxville, Tennessee with his extremely talented wife, Meredith, who teaches voice and piano while also being a classically trained singer herself. They stay busy with their two daughters, Alysse and Cassidy, and two puppies, Patch and Mocha. In his free time, J.P. enjoys lifting, playing the guitar, playing golf, and playing any card game he can find or learn.

Scott Farmer provides comprehensive investment planning, tailored to meet his clients’ personal and financial goals. Like a captain of a ship, he strives to provide an efficient plan, understand and potentially mitigate risks, and provide a customized journey full of life’s memories.

A graduate of Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, Scott has spent more than two decades helping clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each client’s specific needs. Scott earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Plans Specialists (CRPS^®) from the College of Financial Planning and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF^®) designation from Fi360.

Scott spent ten years as an owner/operator of a Goodyear Automotive Center. As a former business owner, he understands the concerns of business owners as he believes only one who has had the experience can. His community involvement includes being a financial mentor with the Blount County Habitat for Humanity. Away from the office, Scott spends his free time out on his boat with his wife, Lisa. His family includes two grown children and a grandson.

Daniel Waters' background as a long-term care specialist in the insurance industry prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors helps him understand the particular needs and concerns facing retirees and their families. 

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Daniel taught high school math in Knox County for 9 years. He coached girls' basketball for AAU summer teams and at Farragut high school and also coached a debate team and math team. Daniel is a native of Maryville and lives in Knoxville, and he has been a financial consultant for over 17 years.

LeAnn Williams is a Senior Registered Client Associate, Assistant Vice President with Heartland Financial Consulting Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. LeAnn began her career in banking at SunTrust Bank in January of 2000 in various positions. In May of 2007, she accepted a position working with SunTrust Investment Services serving as a Senior Investment Associate where she obtained her Series 7 and Series 66 registrations and Life and Health insurance license. In May of 2018, LeAnn was offered the opportunity to join Wells Fargo Advisors as a Registered Client Associate and she knew the move was right for her. She brings 16 years of knowledge to the team and takes great pride in valuing client relationships and making sure her clients’ needs comes first.

She was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee but now resides in Walland, Tennessee with her husband of 27 years, Travis, and their two daughters, Emily and Taylor. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.

Paula Moseley joined Heartland Financial Consulting Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in September 2022. She began her financial services career with First Tennessee Bank in 1995. Her work has always been driven by the goal of helping people succeed financially. She believes in a consultative approach to investment management, retirement, and estate planning, empowering clients to make educated and responsible choices regarding their financial goals.

Paula moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1980 and considers it home. She grew up riding horses, which taught her many positive life lessons: discipline, respect, problem solving, and of course living in the moment. Paula is a graduate of Farragut High School and the University of Tennessee, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She lives with her husband, John Moseley, in Knoxville and they are members of Fellowship Church. She has a love for animals and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching the Braves, and traveling.     

As a Senior Registered Client Associate, Lynn Crews-Brooks is responsible for being a reliant liaison for the team at Heartland Financial Consulting Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. She truly loves connecting with clients and being a part of their journey as they work toward their financial goals. With over 20 years of industry experience, Lynn helps process transactions, addresses critical and complex client needs, and fosters a positive working environment for herself and the rest of the team.

A native Tennessean from Oak Ridge, Lynn previously lived in California and worked as an executive assistant at a marketing firm for annuities. This led to a move back to East Tennessee in the brokerage industry, where she obtained the Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Outside of the office, Lynn lives with her partner, Jack, in Farragut, Tennessee. They have raised two sons, Cameron and Joseph. As an animal lover and advocate, they have a menagerie of pets. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to concerts, a good mystery novel or movie, and being outdoors photographing nature.

Cheryl focuses on providing superior client service and administrative support. She always has a caring and welcoming attitude.  She was with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage 10 years before joining our team in 2019.

Cheryl lives in Lenoir City with her husband Wendell, where she loves spending time with her family, which include her five children, and five grandchildren. She also enjoys hiking, goint to the lake, and traveling. Cheryl also loves to volunteer at her church.
