Doug works within a planning-based Advisory practice serving a select group of households and institutions in the upper mid-west and around the country helping them to build and preserve their wealth.  Doug leads a team of professionals, offering comprehensive wealth planning, portfolio analysis, asset allocation and investment strategies, estate investment planning strategies, as well as overall risk management analysis. His primary role is to coordinate investment management for his clients. 

Background and Experience

Doug joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 1995 and is currently a Private Wealth Financial Advisor.  He holds a degree in Business Finance from the University of Minnesota.  Doug began his career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in 1991.  Doug then moved his practice to Wells Fargo Advisors in Duluth in 1995.  With over 29 years of experience, Doug is dedicated to helping his clients meet their financial needs by developing investment plans around their long-term goals and risk tolerance.  Doug’s extensive experience – throughout major shifts in the markets – enables him to help his clients to manage expectations and remove emotions when making important lifelong financial decisions. 

Away from the office

Doug spends his free time with his wife Nancy, daughter Kenna and son Beau.  When not chasing his children’s sports and events, Doug likes to stay active enjoying competitive waterskiing as well as downhill ski racing amongst many other outdoor activities.

As a Financial Advisor, Grant works with a select group of clients, constructing tailored investment plans to help clients gain clarity and confidence in their financial goals.  Grant works on a team of financial professionals, offering comprehensive wealth planning, portfolio analysis, asset allocation, estate and investment strategies, as well as risk management analysis. 

Background and Experience

Grant’s career in the financial services industry began in 2016 and he has helped guide clients through the ever-evolving global markets. Through a planning-based advisory practice, Grant endeavors to help clients accumulate, preserve and distribute wealth during their lifetimes and through their legacies.

Away from the office

Grant and his wife Alyssa grew up in the Duluth area and are proud to be raising their daughters in the area today. They enjoy being outdoors and spending as much time as they can at their cabin on Island Lake.  Grant enjoys being actively involved in the community and has been a volunteer youth hockey coach for over 10 years.

As a financial advisor, my main focus is helping clients achieve their financial goals.  By getting to truly know about my clients and what they are trying to achieve, building a personalized investment strategy tailored to them, and implementing that strategy, I work tenaciously to make sure I am being of the best service to my clients.

Background and Experience

While attending the University of St. Thomas and earning my degree in accounting, I worked at the University Alumni Contact Center for 4 years raising money for student scholarships. Upon graduating, I combined my passion for helping others with my numbers driven background to pursue a career as a financial advisor.  I started with Wells Fargo as a teller where I learned a lot about the financial industry and further developed my passion for helping others with their financial life.

Away from the office

Originally from Milwaukee, I moved to Duluth after college where I currently reside with my wife Madeline and our two dogs: Leo and Miller.  In my free time, I am a passionate sports fan and a coach for the Duluth East PeeWee AA hockey team.  I enjoy any activity that involves being outside, trying a new place to eat and spending time with friends and family.

Background and Experience 

Sandi joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2000 and is currently a Private Wealth Senior Registered Client Associate.  Sandi holds a degree in Business Management from the College of St. Scholastica and has a minor in Psychology.  Sandi has helped strive to ensure her client’s administrative needs have been handled accurately and efficiently.  With over 24 years of financial service experience, Sandi helps to create a welcoming environment for all her client interactions and operational requests.

Away from the office 

Sandi spends her free time with her husband Steve, son Zach and daughter Ashlee and their 2 dogs Mocha and Ember.  Sandi enjoys attending her children’s sporting events and activities.  Sandi’s other hobbies include crafting, walking and being at her family cabin.

Background and Experience

AJ joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2023 and is currently a Wealth Planning Consultant. AJ holds a degree in Business Finance from the University of Maine where he was an Academic All-American while competing for the Maine Men’s Ice Hockey Team. AJ strives to ensure his clients needs are met and exceeded as they navigate through the ever-changing economic environment.  

Away from the office

AJ spends his free time with his fiancé, Kathryn and Golden Retriever, River. AJ is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fly-fishing, hunting, and traveling to National Parks. AJ is a passionate Philadelphia Eagles Football fan.
