Background and experience
Jared’s true passion is engaging with clients who have worked hard their entire lives to create wealth and helping them preserve it today and for future generations. For more than 18 years, Jared has served as a financial advisor to families, individuals, and institutions.
He takes a comprehensive approach to investment planning and examines every element of a client’s financial life, including liability management, Investment management, cash reserves, insurance, estate planning strategies and tax implications.
Prior to Wells Fargo Advisors, Jared was a Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. He left Merrill Lynch to become a Director and Client Advisor at Deutsche Bank which ultimately became Alex Brown. During this time, he was part of the Deutsche Bank, Alex Brown investment committee.
Jared was awarded a scholarship to attend the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business. In 2011, Jared earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation (CIMA®). As a CIMA® professional, his advanced training focuses on portfolio theory, behavioral finance, risk and return, portfolio construction, and the consulting process. Jared is a Private Investment Management (PIM) Senior Portfolio Manager. As a Senior PIM Portfolio Manager, he is a member of a select group of advisors who are qualified to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis. Jared has been recognized by Wells Fargo Advisors as a Platinum Council member in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. Jared is recognized by Forbes as one of the Best-In-State Advisors for 2023.
Away from the office
An active philanthropist, Jared was a 2012 and 2015 nominee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man of the Year award, and is a member of several committees for the 92nd Street Y Nursery School.
When he is not in the office, Jared enjoys spending time with his family and friends and coaching each of his son’s soccer teams. He is also an avid poker player and was a participant in the 2016 World Series of Poker.
The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients.
