For over 25 years I have worked with a select group of individuals, families, businesses and institutions to help them build, manage, preserve and transition their wealth. Comprehensive wealth management is much more than just investments.  I address risk management with insurance and other asset preservation strategies, in addition to liability management.  I also help my clients leave their legacies through estate planning services provided by our Wells Fargo affiliates.  Most of all, I bring to each relationship energy, passion, commitment and dedication to help you succeed financially. 

I began my career as a Financial Advisor at a small boutique firm in Wichita, Kansas, where I developed my fundamental investment knowledge. In 1998, I joined Everen Securities in Topeka, Kansas, a predecessor firm of Wells

Fargo Advisors, and in 2001 took a team approach as an associate in the Kirkpatrick Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2022 we expanded our footprint by opening a second location in St. Louis.  I now commute on a regular basis between the two offices.

I grew up in Topeka and attended Topeka West High School. I later earned my Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Wichita State University. While at Wichita State, I married Janette. We currently reside in St. Louis, Missouri, in the historic Lafayette Square. Away from the office, I spend my free time with Janette, our daughter, Kennedy, and son, Parker. Kennedy will soon be starting her third year of residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  Parker finished law school and decided to join our team at the Kirkpatrick Investment Group.  Janette and I continue to play tennis and travel to different parts of the country to play in tournaments when time permits. We enjoy getting to the mountains, riding bikes, taking in a good hike and getting on the ski slope. Most of all, we cherish time relaxing at home, taking in a movie and being with family and friends.

With the information our clients share with me, I study and analyze the information, model and develop various ways to help them achieve their financial objectives, and help my clients leave their legacies with access to estate planning services through Wells Fargo affiliates.

I began my career with B.C. Christopher in Topeka, KS, in 1981.  In 1983, I joined Blunt Ellis and Loewi, a predecessor firm of Wells

Fargo Advisors.  My son Jeff and I took a team approach and established the Kirkpatrick Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.  Together we bring to each client relationship our collective education, advanced training and commitment to ongoing professional development.

I grew up in Topeka and am now living in Lawrence, Kansas. A very special part of my life is to attend my grandchildren’s events, along with traveling, adventures and activities with my family and close friends. I enjoy reading, hiking golfing and playing pickleball.

Away from the office, I am engaged in activities at church along with volunteering and supporting local arts and charities.

I joined the Kirkpatrick Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2008. I help ensure that our client's administrative and operational needs are dealt with accurately and quickly by managing the day-to-day administration of accounts, including processing account transfers and answering questions regarding statements. I also handle all incoming calls so that our clients receive a high level of personal service.

When not in the office, I am a free-lance musician, playing violin with the Topeka Symphony and viola with my string quartet. I also enjoy volunteering at the CAT Association of Topeka and playing my violin at area senior living centers.
