Her service on the Boards of Directors of The Washington Ballet and the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) reflects not only her dedication, but also her strategic influence in advancing access, equity, and organizational growth. At The Washington Ballet, in addition to her Board of Directors role, Hanane played a pivotal leadership role, chairing several of the institution’s most impactful fundraising events including the prominent Washington Ballet Gala and the DC community beloved Nutcracker Tea for two years. Under her leadership, these initiatives expanded community engagement, strengthened donor support, and increased the Ballet’s ability to provide arts education to more children and families across the region.

Hanane is also driving AFAK’s philanthropic efforts in both Washington, DC and New York City, where she is forging partnerships with women‑owned businesses to create mission centered events. A portion of the proceeds from these events directly supports children who have lost their families, an initiative that reflects her deep commitment to compassion, empowerment, and restoring hope for children. Her work in this space blends strategic leadership with hands on engagement, further amplifying her impact and expanding support for vulnerable children.

Jeff has volunteered as a dedicated coach for both youth baseball and basketball, he invests countless hours helping young athletes develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
