With a background in financial services, teaching, and education, Marcus is dedicated to helping his clients reach their goals with knowledge and confidence. He is passionate about being an ally for his clients in navigating the ever-changing financial world.
Educationally, Marcus received his Bachelor of Science degree from Friends University and a Master’s Degree in Family Studies and Human Services with an emphasis on Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University. As part of that program he also received a graduate certificate in Personal Financial Planning.
Marcus’ professional career started in education, where he served as Dean of Students at a college preparatory school in Lawrence, KS. At this time, he also coached high school basketball and taught PE. Before joining the financial services industry, Marcus worked in the insurance and estate planning field gaining valuable experience in the process. Marcus believes his unique combination of background experiences allows him to provide his clients with a personal approach focused on developing strategies that efficiently target their personal dreams and goals.
Marcus received his training in the financial services industry from Wachovia Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, in 2008 and worked for the firm until 2010. He then subsequently served as a Financial Consultant for the largest bank in Oklahoma, BOK Financial Securities, for a period of five years before returning to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015.
Marcus, his wife Jill and three children, Paige, Faith and Matthew, are all faithfully committed to the communities in which they work and live. In his free time, Marcus enjoys traveling, volunteering, and supporting his family in their activities.
